Amazon had an add-on for AMC+ for 2 months for $0.99/month.  I had seen good reviews of this show and decided to check it out.  Ben Whishaw as an ob/gyn at a NHS hospital in London, set in 2006.  He's very good in it.  His trainee is pretty good too.  The hospital scenes are kind of kinetic and claustrophobic and some of them fairly graphic and disgusting.  There is some breaking of the 4th wall that's pretty funny.  3 episodes in and I'm enjoying it.

The only downside for me is the storyline about Whishaw's mom not accepting that he's gay is kind of tedioius.  What year is this?

I watched all the episodes a month or so ago.

Really really good - even though I was unfamiliar some of the NHS stereotypes and references, as someone who works at a hospital it was waaaaaaayyyy to relatable and uncomfortable - in a good way.

The last two episodes are an absolute gut punch.

The real Adam McKay is a treat - there’s some videos on YouTube of interviews and speeches he gave when his book this is based on was released. Very funny and eloquent dude.
