Not true. They burn in hell.
November 4, 20241 yr There are two grocery stores in my town: 1. Safeway, which has a long, thin parking lot bordering the store, and I never see loose carts: 2. King Soopers, which has a large, deep lot, many loose carts every time I go:

November 4, 20241 yr What's that blue line at the edge of parking lots? Looks to form a square of some sort and every grocery store in Texas has them but I've never found an explanation.
December 4, 20241 yr Back in the day, I lived off Red River a block from what was at the time an HEB. I just pushed the cart all the way home to my house. Left it in the front yard, reused it next time I or my roommate went to the store. Where does that put me on the shopping cart theory? One day a cop actually stopped at the house, and told my roommate to take it back, right now, or he was going to arrest him.
December 4, 20241 yr Not sure where that puts you on the shipping cart theory, but I'm pretty sure I know where the cop falls on the cop theory...

October 6Oct 6 Yesterday winds were30mph+ in the area. I've seen the wind blow carts across the open areas of parking lots and they are hauling ass. You definitely don't want your vehicle getting hit, unless you drive a beater like I do. Anyhoo, I am loading my groceries into my truck and see the wind blow a cart OUT of the corral( bastard!,) then spin it around, and it hits EXACTLY in the right spot on the corral diagonal across the lane( nice work!) I could have sat there all day and not hit it from the opposite corral. CSB and HOLY SHIT! at the same time.

HEB (at least the ones I've been in) 100% have cart locks. But it's usually at the entrances. They have sensors on if you buy something or not. They supposedly flip on when you enter, then flip off when you go through a checkout. Prevents people from loading up a cart & jetting.
October 6Oct 6 I wish i could find it, there is one where a fat lady is going after him and he says " I can walk backwards faster than you" and ragebaited her so hard.

October 6Oct 6 Ha! I think I've been in that HEB once, maybe twice in my life. Not in the past 15 years, certainly.

I know this because they have locked up on me as I walked out the last 2 times I’ve been there. I just assumed something jammed in the wheel the first time. Both times a worker came over and unlocked it for me. Not sure why they locked as I was coming straight from the checkout both times
