Editor’s Note: KTAB and KRBC are choosing to redact the identity of the defendant in the lawsuit because no criminal charges have been filed.

PARKER COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A more than $1 million lawsuit has been filed against a woman accused of contributing to an anonymous Instagram account that detailed sexual assault allegations against a former University of Arkansas quarterback, causing to get him kicked out of the football program.

In the lawsuit, plaintiff Kade Renfro and his attorney say the false allegations have cost Renfro his reputation and career as a collegiate and even professional football player.

‘He has been labeled a rapist on every major news network’: Arkansas QB Kade Renfro, attorney break silence on Instagram sexual assault allegations

Renfro and the defendant* began seeing each other in August of 2022, and during that time, the lawsuit states they would create explicit videos.

Around January 2023, the lawsuit claims the defendant asked for the full explicit video so she could upload it to a website that sells explicit content. Renfro then blocked her from all communication.

The lawsuit states the defendant then began posting defamatory information on the kaderenfroabuse Instagram account, including his cell phone number and other personal information.

She also, according to the lawsuit, “aided in perpetuating the belief that some pictures stolen by the creator of the site were real and inferred they were her and shared private, consensual photos of Austin Kade Renfro without his permission or consent.”

Renfro and his attorney believe she did this as revenge for ending their relationship.

This defendant is also accused of making defamatory remarks about Renfro on other public sites such as www.change.org.

The lawsuit states these remarks, “[injured Renfro’s] reputation and [injured] him in his college football career and any prospective NFL career in the future.

Renfro is seeking more than $1 million plus punitive damages for mental anguish, injury to his character and reputation, loss of earning capacity, loss of his ability to continue education, and loss of income.

As of June 6, 2023, no criminal charges have been filed against Kade Renfro. However, he was immediately terminated from the University of Arkansas football program as soon as the allegations surfaced on Instagram.

Good for him. I bet he was also throwing the horns down at his tv set in June while watching Texas in the CWS in Omaha, bless his heart.

The Buffalo kicker? I don’t really remember that story either. I know the Arkansas guy isn’t my kind of guy, but the accusations from the woman online were proven to be false or at least highly suspect. That’s about all I remember.

Yeah, you're right i poked around on the interwebs.  The Buffalo punter was the one I read about on Surly.  It was pretty clear from what I remember that the Buffalo punter's allegations were clearly made up.

There was a whole thread on that guy and his issues. The accuser ended up being full of shit on a bunch of the stuff, even if the player looks like a despicable version of a frat bro himself. I can't remember the thread title or whatever, but it's worth the scan if you're interested. It's not anything close to the Duke Lacrosse scandal, but it is a lot closer to that than Baylor.

Most of it played out on page 11 of this thread if you want to get into the nitty gritty. I don't think it was discussed on this thread but all the photos on the Instagram page showing women that were attacked by him were just photos of other random attacks that could be found online.

His attorneys actually released a statement today.  Maybe this thread triggered it, lol.

What is crazy is the parents paying off girls he raped.
As a father of two boys and a girl I am not accepting cash if my daughter got raped and I am not protecting my son from their consequences if they raped someone.

No wonder kid did it again at Arky, never faced any accountability for his actions.

I think the question might be how much money. If it’s enough money to pay for someone to disappear his ass and feed him alive to a pen of starving hogs…

Of course Arky @home plays like shit vs ole miss

35-10  fightin' kiffins lead at half

ark taking 3 weeks to prepare for Texas obviously.  Season for Pittman comes down to our game.  Jihad will be in overdrive.

Didn't see it, but seeing Arky QB left with a leg injury and couldn't put any weight on it.

They look like total shit but we're fooling ourselves if we think they won't give us one of their best games on the year.

Arkansas will play their game of the year against Texas.  Don't kid yourself, our game with them will be close well into the 4th quarter (assuming they have their starting QB).

More times than not this game is a dogfight, record and talent delta be damned.

This game is and has always been their Super Bowl. Arky will be up for this. Our defense better get ready for everything plus the kitchen sink thrown at them. Arky will run every trick play they have in their playbook.

Little Rock sucks major ass.  It's basically a small city with big city problems (traffic, crime, poverty, dirty, gangster shit, etc.) with none of the upsides of a big city (culture, restaurants, outdoor activities, etc.)  A lot of cities have are generally nice with pockets of bad.  Little Rock is one giant shit whole with pockets of nice.

One of the worst cities in America.  There's literally no upside.

It's not end of the world but you can see it from there.  Lou Holtz on Fayetteville.

Even questioning the validity of the accusations means you are part of the problem.  It's dumb fuck concern trolling.  Or so I was told.

Obviously, I'm very late to the discussion above. It's a good one and fair.

When a woman makes an accusation of rape against a prominent athlete, the results will be terrible no matter which way the truth falls. Either the woman was raped and is now being toasted under public scrutiny (terrible) or the man is falsely accused and will rarely escape the stigma (also terrible).

I recall a QB named Sanchez at USC who we wanted and who seemed  exemplary in just about every way. He was accused. In that case, I don't think the accusation held up.

See? I recall the accusation and am only pretty sure it was invalid. The incident is tied to his name even now by a college football fan (me) who is pretty sure he came out okay.

I lean strongly towards the woman's side at the moment of accusation because, if true, she needs support. It's such a betrayal on those occasions when the accusation is false and makes it harder for actual victims.

Again, compliments on the dispassionate analysis.

Arkansas should move to the Big 12 which should change its fucking name which was always stupid anyway.

Pittman will likely be fired by tomorrow as it’s their bye week.  It’s been a mess since Petrino’s wreck.  Their program is strong except football, great facilities.   Right AD and coach and the big money will be there.

Since we’re closely linked to these shit heels for the foreseeable future, who do we want to be the coach at piggy?

I’d vote for Petrino to go on a run and get the full time gig. It could happen if they go 4-3 down the stretch.

I will shit a golden razorback and set you on fire if this Arkansas team goes 4-3 down the stretch.

Barring a complete revamp of the defense mid-season, they ain't winning another game this year.  Saban could be the coach and it wouldn't make a shit.

The power of the brand is to compelling. They could finish last for the next 20 years and would never leave. It’s the football version of the Stockholm Syndrome.

Verdad.

Jalen Brown with a broken tibia and fibula. Was pretty knarly to see it in real time. Made me wince seeing it happen. That's a pretty big loss for them. He was having a decent season until that injury.

Honestly, Arkansas has no one to blame but themselves, they have the Walmart fortune and the JJ fortune to recruit but haven’t. $20M from those two families combined is nothing and would buy a helluva roster. The school and area are top notch. Losers gonna lose I guess. But if Phil knight can make Oregon, arky can gets is billionaires to step up. This is entirely on them.

Mentioned on the other thread but they should make a run at Jeff Traylor.  He’s 57 and the shine is a bit off so unlikely to get a premier P5 job. Well respected in Texas HS circles,  runs a solid program.

Work with him for 7-8 years to get the NIL going and the program on the right track and then the next guy will be in place to elevate it.
