I meant specifically the race to the moon. Every projection has them getting back first. China is also catching up to Spacex and Blue Origin. Momentum is in their favor right now and I have serious doubts we turn it around in the near future. They are investing. We are not. That is the truth.

Incorrect.  We are not losing the space race. Not even remotely close. Are they closing the gap in some areas like lunar yes.  But this notion that we are losing the space race to China 2 times over is dumber than the we are making the playoffs at 9-3.   Their launch cadence is a 1/3 of ours. They’re recent attempt at recover with Zhuque-3 failed showing they are still years out   When it comes to payloads and tech we are light years ahead we have over 10000 dual use known to public satellites up there to chinas 1500.  Chinas state run allows for more speed vs the laws in place in our acquisition process.  The only thing China is remotely close in is lunar missions.    Same goes for their ships and aircraft nonsense

Thank you. The first post is a weird doomer one. I don’t even know details about the “race” to the moon. But the real race is putting satellites in orbit. We put up 80-90% of the earth’s payload up every year from freaking Texas. And there’s posters here dooming about our space capabilities. That shit is weird.

Love him or hate him there’s a reason Elon is basically a national security asset and SpaceX is the most valuable private company on the planet. Denying that is kind of crazy. Get off the pro China propaganda online

It is weird to claim ignorance and then take a hard position. I'm well aware of SpaceX's value (Elon's itself isn't clear). You're free to read the SpaceX thread to see my contributions to it. We're actively canceling or silencing scientific research. That doesn't bode well for future endeavors in space.

We're getting off the pro-Russia and pro-white supremacy propaganda.

I don’t understand. If you’re pumping pro China nonsense, that is pro Russian…

Elon has repeated Russian propaganda many, many times.
