One time in HS we climbed the fence at night at Barton Springs. I ran down the hill on the south side and without looking jumped into what is usually 6 ft of water. The pool was drained and the exact same thing happened to me. I'm really really lucky that I didn't dive head first or I'd be typing by looking at a screen and blinking.

When I was little my grandmother warned me about diving at Barton Springs.  She told the story of how the governor's son (Allan Shivers) broke his neck and was in a wheelchair.

30 years later I had an appointment to meet some Shivers guy in downtown Austin.  The door opened from his office and he came out, in a wheelchair.  I was dumbstruck for a second as I realized I was meeting the guy my grandmother had told me about.  I think he probably saw my surprised and figured I wasn't expecting someone in a wheelchair.

No need to try this out at the local football field.  I'll be airborne for sure before I get to the cart corral.

Is that hallway where they release the zyclon?

The germans are a twisted people.

That's not fair. They invented the snuff film genre. Oh, never mind.

Now people just run in the hallway with their eyes closed.

Do not get the organic mini cucumbers unless you plan on eating them that day or the next. Three days in and they melt in the crisper drawer.
