Dearest mother —

These are truly trying times. So many horses have perished at the hands of our enemy that the men have decided to vanquish their starvation by consuming them. Mother, horse meat is not appetizing whilst slathered only in Squirrel Oil. Tarnashions! If only someone had the resolve to assist our culinary dilemma. I hear tell the men of the A1 regimen are feverishly working to assist our taste buds, but I fear it will be too late. I look forward to better days on the farm.
