Years ago I saw a lady get her nose rearranged by a flying piñata stick at my buddy's kid's birthday party when a little fella swung for the fences and it slipped out of his hands. I've trained my wife and kids to keep their heads on a swivel like they're sitting row 1 down the 3rd base line when that fucking piñata starts bouncing.

This is real.

This is real.

That’s awesome.

Although the clients will get billed for the time, the lunch, and the tip. Which was the whole point of the bullshittery to start with.

One, I need this t-shirt.

Two, the blue sign in the lower right corner saying that you must be 11 or older to purchase tobacco products makes me laugh for some reason.

This is real.

So….decades ago…had a jury trial where opposing counsel and I got rather combative. Often. Every day. He was a real fucker and thought he could bulldoze me. He couldn’t. But…the judge didn’t want us coming to blows in court, so he literally ordered us, on the record, to leave court at the end of the day, walk to the bar across the railroad tracks, and have drinks until we either fought or reached detente.
It more or less worked.

This got me.

Hit close to home. A memory from... I'd have to  say 1950-something... popped up, tune and lyrics. Heard it clear as day. I think it was by the Lamplighters? I pulled up Writer and typed the words, no looking. I don't believe I've heard it since then, no idea why it was stored away... thought you might like it.

Yesterday, in old Fall River, Mr. Andrew Borden died.

And they got his daughter, Lizzie, on a charge of Homicide.

Some folks say she didn't do it, others say of course she did.

But they all agree, Miss Lizzie B., was a problem kind of kid.

'Cause you can't chop your poppa up in Massachusetts,

No matter if it's planned as a surprise

No, you can't chop your poppa up in Massachusetts,

You know how neighbors love to criticize.
