I think the first leg saw a Tennessee runner (orange and white) thinking it was a Texas runner. It can be the only explanation. I bet Texas is getting DQed here.

Texas DQ'ed. Still the favorites to win it all but that lowers the margin for error in finals.

What a terrible mistake.

Our women's team is just snakebit over the last 3 years, but no excuse for that huge blunder

Definitely a major fuck up but it's going to take 2 or 3 major bad things happening to Texas for Arkansas to win. Best path for Arkansas is to just hope Alfred has a really bad day or isn't fully healthy.

Smith already scored above her expected value in the Long Jump and Texas qualified a shit load of sprinters in finals.

Florida had a terrible night. They're done.

Texas vs Arkansas for the title. Need the sprinters to do what they did in the prelims and Texas will win.

Ackelia Smith needed a big jump to even qualify for the final nine on her 3rd attempt. Then she had a huge jump on her final attempt to win the Long Jump.

Feels like a defining moment for a team that hasn't been able to get over the hump. Ice in her veins.

I was sitting first row by the pits. She fucking soared on that jump.

Even a bigger moment now in the context of the 4x400 DQ.

I remember watching those FloSports projections last year showing Texas at the top until that lead slowly slipped away after each subsequent projection.

Yup.

I stopped checking. I'm wondering if I should follow along tomorrow since I'll be at a bbq/pool party.

Brutal, Texas Tech wins the 4x1 on the men's side but ends up getting DQ'ed. They had a shot at a national title but that's out the window now.

Damn impressive run by the Georgia freshman to win the 800 pulling away

It was a good day for Blazevica in the heptathlon.

In 6th through 4 events but 2/3 events tomorrow are her best events.

Stanford men just won the 200 and 5000. That moves them to 3rd.

Probably going to take championships in women's t&f and baseball to win the director's cup.

Great 4x400.  Florida and Arizona St both right at the collegiate record.

The Stanford men are having a really good day.

Even if Texas wins the NC on the womens side, they would also have to win the CWS to move ahead of stanford

Works for me. Let's win another one in Omaha.

Went to the men’s finals yesterday and after a few minutes realized I was sitting next to Justin Gatlin. Making it back-to-back by going to the women’s finals tonight.

Top level track and field meets are a blast. The 100m yesterday had 7 dudes under 10s, the winner was 9.89 That’s hauling ass.

Huge PB for Blazevica in the javelin with only 1 event left and it's arguably her best event. I don't know where Flotrack had Blazevica projected in the heptathlon but I would think 2nd-4th would be above expected value. I figured she would finish in the 5th-8th range.

Blazevica in 5th in the heptathlon with 1 event left. Think she has the potential to move up to the 3rd or 4th with a good run in the 800M which has been her strongest event.

400M coming up for Arkansas. This is where they need huge points and for Adeleke to have a bad race for Texas.

Arkansas still picked up big points there finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th but Adeleke pulls off exactly what we needed.

You can really hear her Irish accent.

Does that pretty much clench it for us?

Avoid false starts in the 200. 3 in finals. Nothing stupid.

Today is just Texas day. First baseball now W.Track

Yesterday was our day. You get this many sprinters in the finals it's difficult to lose.

Damn I wish our 4x4 was running. We would sweep both relays

also I would love for college to run the 4x200 m relay

True but even if Texas avoided the DQ they might not have run the 4x4 if they had a big enough lead. It's the last event.
