I don’t get to watch longhorn practices I’ll be honest, but I played college football and all of our qb’s threw in a rotation to every wr we had every practice, it was called inside hull. Every db versus every wr in a rotation. I don’t think sark is dumb enough to think Quinn can’t get hurt. Now Once team drills started the 1’s were together but it was a simulation which was 60% speed at best. Nobody wanted to be the asshole that got an all American hurt being a hero. Which goes into my next point, you can’t simulate a really solid 2 minute drill in practice either, it’s just not possible. In the game there’s adrenaline, there’s legit fatigue, there’s crowd noise, errors that weigh on you, and the other team that wants to whip your ass in a way your teammates never do.

If sark isn’t giving arch plenty of attention after having quinn injured every year he’s been here then sark is a dumbass. I think arch gets plenty of good reps in practice and is ready to go at a moments notice. Is that really a retarded take to think our back up qb gets good solid practice reps because our starter is injury prone???

Cool story. I played also and nobody gives a shit about that either.  The 1st team would start 7 on 7  portion of  practice and get the majority of snaps. If you are saying QB reps are split equally in practice,  I am calling BS

I actually appreciate hearing about other’s experiences.  Generally speaking, many here don’t give a shit about that, but I find it interesting and certainly adds pieces to the puzzle.

That said, @WinningisHard thought doesn’t necessarily jive.  In pre game warmups all QBs throw to all WRs, but that doesn’t really equate to 1st team reps.  Then without agreeing basically says it’s difficult to rep the 2 minute offense in a non-live setting but acts as though that’s no big deal for the backup.

Yes. Practices will vary based on what the coaches want to work on.  Generally, teams will have some individual time, group time (examples 7 on 7, inside run, etc), and team time. What doesn’t vary is the starters will get more reps in practice than back-ups on the Texas playbook

Its crazy to me that I woke up a nervous wreck when we play Kentucky today and all I can think of is which Quinn is showing up today. Ugh.

You will take 13-3 at halftime and like it!

and there it is again. to be critical of a player is to hate him. such an emotional, juvenile perspective.

I mean, there are SOME detractors on this thread that most certainly fall into the “haters” category. Not all or even most but some for sure. Immamac and BO&W would be the two obvious ones.

To be fair, it will also matter which Sark shows up today. If he's completely happy with another 20-10 type of victory, then Quinn probably plays conservatively again. If the gameplan is to be more aggressive and for TEXAS to dictate what they want to do on offense, then we could see a great Ewers today.

Didn’t you declare him a pussy ass bitch a few weeks ago? How many versions of that are there and which version of pussy ass bitch is good at playing QB?

I wasn’t humble bragging lol. Not many people see a college football program from the practice field is all I was getting at. Every back up qb we’ve had behind Quinn has started multiple games now. It isn’t crazy to think sark tells Quinn he needs arch to be ready. I guess I touched a nerve or something. It is what it is.

Except it's not a false accusation when Some people were all over this thread in year one shit posting weekly. Then they were nowhere to be found last year all the way to the playoff. Now all the sudden they pop up from the dead like Voldemort. Whoever fits that description is most def a hater.

Dart with the game on the line TWICE…takes a sack and throws a pick into quadruple coverage. What a massive pussy. L O L

scratch that…FOUR times the game was on the line. He threw two picks on the same drive hahahahahahahaha. Yeah dart is who we want to Quinn to be more like.

A fast start for once!

Moving around in the pocket extending the play and throwing a nice TD!

That amazingly bad from Dart. Those last 2 drives looked like he was trying throw to Florida

Sark needs to make Quinn run the football. Everything with his pocket footwork is backpedaling.

On the first drive 3&9 sack, the OL has done a good job, there is 20 yards of green grass and three holes to choose from…….instead Quinn is in a trance looking downfield as he steps up and walks right into a sack from a fully engaged lineman with green grass all around.

He doesn’t even consider running even when the D is giving him 20 yards of space. Take the yards

The best of Quinn and the worst on back to back drives.

you have got to be able to hit Bond. He was wide open. Put that ball on a rope and let him go get it

Yeah if he throws that to the S I think it’s a TD. He struggles with that mightily.

Both the deep shots were not great throws, both were also DPI. Trash refs so far

we keep having guys either wide open or 1 on 1 deep and the throws aren’t even close. we are so handicapped offensively.
