He just needs to quit floating over deep middle. If he steps into and delivers a nice pass on a rope he can make the throws but for some reason he tends to like to throw Russell Wilson deep balls.

So don't let Quinn cook?

A healthy Bond would have made a difference in the passing game. He was the leading receiver till the high ankle sprain injury. Should have just set him down till he got well. Instead, he kept playing and went from the leading receiver on the team to almost nothing. His world class speed opened things up for Helm and Golden underneath.

He should have been set down and allowed to get well. He would have been a great weapon during the last third of the regular season and the playoffs. He plays without that elite speed, and he just keeps reinjuring the ankle, that has done nothing for the passing game. Seemed like a big mistake by the coaching staff to me.

I don't even care if he doesn't connect on the deep middle throws as long as he doesn't put up moonballs. That allows help to come from greater distances to make a play on the receiver or the ball. This is exactly what happened against ASU and was nearly a season-killer. Throw it out there with authority and hopefully the worst-case scenario is an incompletion. We know he can do it. Just can't have the back-breaking turnovers.

I put the onus for that on Sark.... You know your QBs tendencies and as such you shouldn't even put that play on the board especially up 8 with 5.5 to go.

I hope Wisner is healthier tonight; he seemed still dinged up with that knee injury against Clemson. He wasn't breaking tackles and seemed to go down easier than usual. The O-line is going to have to step up blocking for him and Ewers to give Texas a shot.

Sideline reporter Rutledge said Wisner told her that none of us are 100% at this point. It's been the longest season in Texas history, so that's easy to believe.

Quinn Ewers when asked by ESPN if he expects to play college football next year, "No, I don't."

Quinn has a chance to be a legend tonight or to ruin my liver.

Why not both?

This isn’t all his fault, but they need someone that can make plays with their legs. Ewers cannot do that.

Time to put in arch. Need something to stop the rush and the ol with ewers ain’t it

Too late in the season for that. They threw this year away at the end of the season by not getting Arch more experience.

Unless Sark goes 5 wide and gets aggressive we are fucked.

Time to give up on that idea. Arch hasn’t seen meaningful live action in 3 months. It’s not going to happen here.

Sigh. Guess you right but fuck sark then. Ewers is a good qb, but he lacks IT. We need help from on high to win this…

Not trying to be an asshole but I had no faith he could throw a Hail Mary from our 45. He left it 7 yards short of the end zone. Is there a starting QB in the end zone that can’t make that throw to the end zone?

Good job seeing the pressure and knowing he had to go hot. He’s been far from perfect, but we’re in the fight despite the fact that we’re generally doing a shit job of beating the guy across from us on most plays.

That third down throw sailed because they managed to get pressure despite rushing 3. I think Cam got beat inside and there was no way to step into it.
