September 8, 20223 yr Knives Out was great. Hope he stays in that lane and doesn't pull some Last Jedi shit with this franchise
September 8, 20223 yr Loved Knives Out. This trailer looks it's going to be too much over the top. The cast seems to have downgraded as well. Even though I love Norton and Hahn.
September 8, 20223 yr i'm excited but seems very different from the first. half of the fun of the first was just getting all that cast up on a modern script. don johnson and jamie lee curtis as leads was great. this one the cast seems less amusing. still tho, i expect it to be better than 99% of movies.
September 8, 20223 yr In! Also, I could have sworn I saw an ad last night for another movie like this coming out (but IIRC the cast was different). When I saw the ad I assumed it was Knives Out 2 but didn't see Daniel Craig in the preview). Wish I could remember the cast members I did see. Edited September 8, 20223 yr by DDD Dad

September 8, 20223 yr Looks like release date is Friday, Dec 23. https://netflixlife.com/2022/08/22/knives-out-2-release-date-cast/

September 8, 20223 yr I enjoy you saying you hope he stays in his lane and doesn't pull some Last Jedi shit with the franchise he created. He has every right to do that with his franchise.

Ang Lee is one; Rian Johnson is another. Ang's movies are all about unspoken/hidden passions. Rian's are deconstructions of genre; taking well-known tropes and reversing them. In the Last Jedi, you have a bitter old hero and a sympathetic villain. In Knives Out, it's a murder mystery where you know who the murderer is right from the start.

September 9, 20223 yr This will be a cool movie. I’ll be there opening night for this. I really enjoyed Knives Out and suspect I’ll like all the movies to come in this franchise. Good on Daniel Craig for doing more movies as Benoit Blanc!

September 12, 20223 yr So, I failed to watch Knives Out. Did the search thing on Netflix and did not see it. Any idea, where a lowly non hip slug like myself might find it?

September 12, 20223 yr ^^ cool deal, I'll check in to tomorrow whilst I'm busy doing nothing. Thanks.

The Highest-Grossing Star Wars Movies, Ranked (Adjusted For Inflation) (screenrant.com) Quote There isn't much of a difference between The Rise of Skywalker's original box office intake and the gross profit adjusted for inflation, as it's the newest movie in the franchise and only three years old. But regardless of which way fans look at it, it's still an overall disappointment and a relatively uneventful release that Disney would rather forget.

How Craig did his West Virginia accent as Joe Blast in Logan Lucky was entertaining as hell. The fact he didn’t do it exceptionally well is strangely what made it work.
November 11, 20223 yr very much in. Knives out was great and Johnson was really screwed over by JJ Abrams
November 11, 20223 yr Saw Glass Onion at a film festival a few weeks ago. It was great. Craig still hasn't nailed the southern accent. But just took it as some more of the jokes. No need to see Knives Out first. It's in the same universe, but the story is completely separate.
November 25, 20223 yr Saw it in theaters tonight. Very fun movie. It managed to keep the spirit and fun of the first movie with completely new characters in a much different setting, so it doesn't feel like you're just watching an identical clone of the first flick. I could watch several of these if they kept going.
December 24, 20223 yr I’m in for several more as well. I watched it tonight on Netflix. I still like the first one better but enjoyed this one. I could however watch Janelle Monáe all day and all night long. Interesting that close to the beginning you see Stephen Sondheim on a zoom meeting. Interesting that One, he died a year ago so was he dead then or was this filmed a year or two ago? AND, two, Sondheim co-wrote with Anthony Perkins one of my all-time favorite old movies The Last of Sheila. A similar kind of feel as the Knives Out movies and so were these movies influenced by that movie? I can see it.
December 24, 20223 yr Watched it tonight. Enjoyed it, but felt like there was a huge script rewrite at some point. Perhaps it was the editing, but it really felt like they tried to fix something after they shot it.
December 24, 20223 yr Watched last night. Really enjoyed it. Blanc was little more cartoonish than in the first one, but it was still fun. Hadn't seen Norton in anything since Birdman so enjoyed that, too.
December 24, 20223 yr Really enjoyed it. Liked the first one better but as far as I'm concerned they're 2 for 2. I'm all in for the next one.
December 24, 20223 yr Best laugh I had was the dinner scene when Norton explains the game. His reaction to Blanc was hilarious.
December 25, 20223 yr just finished it, good watch, gotta rewatch to see how the clues were presented during the exposition Edited December 25, 20223 yr by elfenix
December 26, 20222 yr I enjoyed it. It was several orders of magnitude better than the usual shit they throw up on Netflix.

Blanc's conclusions about Miles' genius were hilarious, especially with regard to the lights going out for a bit. The more I recall different moments from the film, the more I realize how thoroughly enjoyable it was. Edited December 26, 20222 yr by Augustus Forgot an apostrophe. Inexcusable.
December 26, 20222 yr I thought it was preposterous and contrived and I don't buy Benoit's accent for a minute.
December 26, 20222 yr We watched it last night and quite enjoyed it , as someone said miles better than the usual crap on Netflix
