What the hell, might as well start my first thread over here, before all the assholes get here.

Going to go fight some foo at what was known as Turner Field, now the Georgia State football stadium on Apr 28th.

Was going to try and see Jason Isbell on this tour but none of the dates worked out or were already sold out.

Everyone in Houston, go see Whitney Rose at Cottonwood on Tuesday April 10th. The radio show I help produce/co-host is sponsoring.

Taking a month to see Iron Maiden in Europe/UK this summer.

Ghost in Nashville in May.

Def Leppard/Journey in St Louis in August.

Def Leppard in Sheffield, Liverpool, and London in December.

Other shows to mix in at some point.

Going to MGMT at Brooklyn Steel in a few hours. Don't love their new album, but looking forward to the college nostalgia with Time To Pretend and others from Oracular Spectacular.

Brian Fallon, Roger Clyne, Jake Bugg, Kevin Morby, J Roddy, Mason Jennings, Houndmouth, Dr. Dog and Wilderado between now and mid-May.

Going to David Byrne at the Opreehouse in Dallas in late April. Should be a good one.

Smashing pumpkins in Houston this summer.

Judas Priest in April - Sugar Land

Def Leppard/Journey in September - Houston

Over the next year; tickets purchased for:

Judas Priest

Depeche Mode (front row, center)

George Strait

Elton John

I’ll have several friends at that Foos show in Atlanta. I won’t be there because I’m catching them here:

Going to see Andrew Bird this summer at a venue right at the confluence of the Blackfoot and Clark Fork Rivers in Montana. Should be awesome.

Sure. Come early and you can have dinner with her and the whole band. Be warned though...

Total prude.

Just saw Cody Jinks in Beaumont since that’s the closest he’s come to Houston in two years. Awesome.

Also, Five Finger Death Punch hasn’t come near, so I got tix and I’m flying up to Tulsa to see them with Shinedown. A week later, concerts announced in Houston. FFDP with Breaking Benjamin and Godsmack with Shinedown. Shit.

Pretty good show. Did a "Never Ending Story" mix with Kids.

I also have tickets to see Robert Earl Keen at the 1894 Grand Opera House in Galveston in August.

What are your favorite FFDP songs? I found their covers to be a major turnoff, and as a result kind of wrote them off altogether.

I’m not an over the top fan but I’ve enjoyed their commitment to the troops. I think some of their lyrics get a bit clumsy, but I like the driving sound and his voice. I actually don’t mind Bad Company, but changing the words to House of the Rising Sun was not necessary.

I'm going to see Breaking Benjamin, Five Finger Death Punch, Nothing More and Bad Wolves. Hell of a lineup! I was tempted to see Metallica, but took a pass.

4th row middle for Foo Fighters at COTA in April.

I have tickets to see Charley Crockett at the Majestic next month, but I will probably give them to one my kids. I would like to go, but I really hate going to Dallas and I hate putting on pants and leaving the house.

Already have Def Leppard/Journey tickets for Labor Day in Houston.  And a room booked at the Marquis for some hanky panky with Mrs TwoSheds.  No pics.

out of curiosity, where do yall get your "upcoming show'' info?

khruangbin is playing mohawk on 3/30.

usually from a txt/email, but i'll admit that the facebooks are useful for seeing what else your friends (and friends of friends) are up to.

The Breeders and LCD Soundsystem in Dublin in May/June.

Probably Metallica in Lubbock.

May go to Alpine for Viva Big Bend in July.

any idea who is playing?

Don't believe they've announced the schedule yet. It's the last weekend in July. Always a good time.
