Yup. A buddy sent that to me on Tuesday and it worked like a charm yesterday. "ADDITUP" could also describe my mounting concert fund outlay. Oy vey!

$52 for GA @ Stubb's is a little tough to swallow

definitely normal, unfortunately.

Anyone in for KISS on Oct 29 in ATX?  We play BYU at home on the 28th.  As it stands now, we are in for both.  KISS and the B52s are the only two bands I wished I would have seen back when and then.  I hear opportunity knocking.

Saw Silversun Pickups tonight in Dallas. Felt uninspired. They played mostly newer songs. I believe I counted 5 or so songs from Pikul, Carnavas, and Swoon combined.  Disappointed in the setlist. I get that the band gets bored playing the same songs for 15+ years but the new stuff needs to match or exceed the songs that are excluded. I counted three songs that were just plain bad.

This is the second time I’ve seen them. Really enjoyed the first time. Won’t be seeing them again.

My brother, my daughter and I are trying to decide where to do a meetup so I'll hit you up when we have figured it out.

Saw the viagra boys in Portland last Friday. It was a giant party. The whole floor was a mosh pit. They have several humorous shrimp references in their songs...at one point someone in the crowd threw a bunch of crocheted shrimp into the air. Extremely fun show and great music.

I was turned onto the Viagra boys after hearing their song "Punk Rock Loser."   Would love to see them live sometime!  Going to go see "the Heavy Heavy" at C-boys this weekend, then it's no for SXSW!

Cool. I'm going to see them tomorrow in SA. First time, so excited. Was there an opening act? If not, how long did they play?

There was an opening DJ. Played some cool 80s/techno stuff. Felt like the old village station 🤣. New Order finally came on stage around 9pm and played to about 1045ish. I was home by 1130.

There's a DJ. I think he started around 8-ish. Doors opened at 6:30. New Order came on at 9:10 or so.

Thanks. I saw this setlist for DFW. It's changed a bit from city to city, but other than "Regret"  and "The Beach" not being on there, it's a good hit list for me.

Headed out to Port Chester, NY to see Goose on the their 5 night run at The Capital Theater. (Going to night 4 Saturday)

Anybody know much about Off! ???  Black Flag + Circle Jerks alums among others.  My daughter's band is doing a run with them starting in Minneapolis along with Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Montreal, Boston, NYC and others.  Crazy.

Last night was the first night of this leg of the tour so I expect them to play just about the same each night with one or two changes per night. That was their MO last fall in their US dates.

Recommendations on parking for AT&T center in San Antonio?  I can prepay $20 for one of the lots.  There's a private lot to the south, but cost is unknown.  Uber from hotel 8 miles away.  Uber is easiest, but I'm always worried about the fair being $100 or so.

Maybe @DToro can pick us up on his way to the concert.

My truck is in the shop. Fuel pump part recall, so hitching a ride with my budding who got a pass or else I'd let you ride in the bed of the truck. Just kidding. AT&T parking is a scam. Uber or VIA, VIA is a recommendation.  Willow Springs may have limited parking for cheap, too. We're either going to pre-party in South Town or Smoke downtown.

Bruce canceled out for Tuesday's show in Albany due to illness, did the same for Mohegan Sun this past Friday(?), which is good since we're expecting a winter storm with quite a bit of snow Monday night through early Wednesday morning.

New Order in San Antonio was a great show. A couple changes to the set list from Dallas - I would have preferred 1963 over Tutti Frutti. They closed with an encore of three Joy Division songs.

When did all of these old people start liking New Order? I don't remember old people clubbing at the Lizard Lounge in 1989.

Saw the set list from SA last night.....those motherfuckers played Regret!!!  They've never played that at any of the shows I've been to SMH

Fantastic, fun and nostalgic show. Happy they added "Regret" to the set list. Sad I didn't get to hear "Love Vigilantes." Yes, they ended like they began, Joy Division.

I'm Gen X but damn, lots of old and wobbly at the show. I was in section 201 and handipcap section was full. It's like they pre-partied at Luby's and then showed out.

One of the things I was surprised with at the Dallas show was that we saw a lot of younger people there.  People like in their mid to late 20s.  My SIL said that "what was once old is now cool again".... 😅

Modest Mouse/Weezer June 10th,  Milky Chance/Young the Giant June 30th.

The Record Company is coming to Stubbs with Rival Sons on May 13. Trying to decide if I’m gonna go to Austin or OKC to see them.

Wife’s been talking about getting some new boots at Heritage. Maybe I can swing some new boots for each of us and a concert for me.

Just bought Cure tickets in the verified fan presale. The Cure has banned ticket brokers and resale above face value for this tour. It was refreshing picking up good tickets for $75 at Moody.

I’d like to see how that works out. Ticketbastard just loves that if you can’t go and want to sell, you have to double (or more) the price you paid just to break even.

It’s a scam from the second the site loads.

And then they turn around and charge all their fees to the next buyer on top of the fees they already charged you when you bought.

🤬

Going to the Dallas show of The Cure. Younger child wanted to go as that’s her current favorite band. Funny given this will be my first time seeing them when I could’ve gone to this exact same venue to see them in the late 80s when I was her same age.

I've seen them a few times, enjoyed them all, but they're not exactly dynamic on stage.  The tunes make up for it.

I saw Rival Sons open for Sabbath on their farewell tour and was pretty impressed by them. I assume they've done new stuff since then, I'll have to check it out if so.

Gary Clark Jr. just announced a show in OKC. It just so happens to be the night before the Rival Sons / The Record Company show in OKC.

Looks like I’ll skip the Rival Sons / Record Co show in Austin and do two nights in OKC instead.

I gotta manufacture a reason to justify the trip to the wife.

Gonna see The Shivas tonight at The Doug Fir Lounge in PDX.  This is one of my favorite venues and they're moving to another location this summer.

This video is actually filmed there.  Awesome place.  I hope another venue moves in.

Saw Chris Stapleton tonight at Choctaw Casino in Durant OK. So good.

He played a bit of Freebird and transitioned to A Devil Named Music. That was pretty cool.

Closed strong with Outlaw State of Mind.

Seemed like a short set. Plenty of meat in his catalog was left on the bone. Wanted to hear Watch You Burn but he didn’t play it. His voice was so strong with his songs about love. I wanted to see how he performed a song about anger.

Seeing Snoop Dogg in 2 days in Amsterdam. I’ve been in training all weekend.

Saw them at Starplex for the Bloodflowers tour many, many years ago and I wasn't all that impressed by the show as they played mostly newer shit that I'd never heard.

I think Choctaw and Winstar have pretty hard rules about when shows have to end.

The missus and I have added Goth Babe at The Factory (Dallas) to our list of shows.
