Quick trip up to Dallas tomorrow night for Death Cab for Cutie at the Bomb Factory and going to see the National at Red Rocks on October 9. Might mix some ACL fest in there too.

Anyone go to Lord Huron at stubbs? Was going, until my son decided to enter the world 3 weeks early. Was curious how it was.

saw 2 nights of the growlers at mohawk last weekend. great time, pretty sure that's become my favorite venue in austin.

Johnny Marr at Empire Control Room on Wednesday 10/10. Checked out a setlist and it was full of Smiths and Electronic covers. His solo stuff is outstanding too. Can't wait.

Massive Attack in London in late FEB.  It's the Mezzanine XXI anniversary tour. It's the first time in a while Liz Fraser is touring with them.  This is the last realistic concert I have on my bucket list.

Any of you guys seen Mark Knopfler live?  Tix are on sale for Dallas, but they're very pricey.  I think I'm just going to see if I can find something last minute.

anyone ever been to this fest?  great lineup for me and my bro lives in PHX so i'll probably go.

I hope my friend doesn't back out.  I don't know anyone else that would go.

I like that Bass Concert Hall posted this message for the Ghost concert...for a band that sells masks at their merch table:

  • Fans are encouraged to dress up, but please note no full-face masks, sharp objects, or weapons are permitted.

Masks are now the same as weapons huh?

anyone needs tickets for ghost let me know. i've got a pair on the floor

No opening act.  Entire show lasts about 2.5 hours with a short intermission.

As expected, my friend backed out on me. He's got too much going on.  I have 1 ticket available. Orchestra Level row BB. $50

i put mine on craigslist for face value and had a buyer within 5 minutes. you shouldn't have a problem getting rid of that ticket.

Saw The Internet at Emo's on Thursday. Really good show. I know they're a proper "band" but it was still pretty cool to see everything played live with the amount of keyboards/synths they use in their brand of funk/r&b. Syd can really, really sing too. Glad it was sold out.

2 weeks out for Gary Clark's rescheduled show that I should've seen earlier this year. Literally been waiting for it all year.

Ghost rocked tonight. Best show of the 3 I've seen over the years. Crowd is getting bigger and more mainstream.  That first time I saw them at Emo's, it was all goth-looking people.

Yes, I saw him in Austin, October 2015 at the Moody. If you like Knopfler it's certainly worth it.

Gonna see Nine Inch Nails tonight at the Saenger in New Orleans. This is the third of three shows. They played here Friday and Saturday night too. Never seen NIN or been to the Saenger before.

Tickets purchased for Peter Hook next November.

Went on a bit of a ticket buying spree this morning.  Got Black Angels, Murder City Devils, Murder By Death, Mudhoney, and Bob Mould.

doom side of the moon on friday

Elton John

Disturbed

Rolling Stones

all in Houston.  Pretty excited to take my 10 year old to see the stones on their 74th farewell tour.

Please post a review. Going to this in Chicago in late March

Bro you gotta make that happen. Somehow they are at the top of their game.

Just left the Ghost show in Atlanta. Not sure how I can have so many things to say but also be speechless.

Some of the most pure guitar tone I’ve heard.
