June 27, 20241 yr I saw Starcrawler about a year ago at stubb’s. Energetic and fun band. Lead singer told us olds to turn up our hearing aids. Lulz.

June 29, 20241 yr Deciding to skip the tripping daisy show tonight. I’ve been sick all week and still coughing regularly. Was hoping I’d be clear by like thurs this week but no luck. This thing has hang time.
June 30, 20241 yr Going to The Parish tomorrow night to see one of my favorite bands. dada Great three piece band with really clean sounds and great harmonies.
July 1, 20241 yr was cool seeing tripping daisy in dallas. lots of people turned out and the crowd was super into it, loved seeing all the old tripping daisy shirts. the band also seemed super appreciative. it took them a bit to get warmed up and the first set (elastic firecracker) was pretty loose but it was awesome hearing those songs live. second set was tighter and sounded great. said they're recording a new album this year and will be touring next year, but they didn't play any new stuff.
July 3, 20241 yr Misfits tickets are now $20 off! Fuck it, I kinda want to see them in an empty arena though I'll wait for the fire sale on the day of the show.

What Misfits line up are we talking about here? Is Danzig back? I saw them with Graves on vocals a couple of times in the late 90s, and they were pretty fun.
July 4, 20241 yr What Misfits line up are we talking about here? Is Danzig back? I saw them with Graves on vocals a couple of times in the late 90s, and they were pretty fun. It’s Danzig, Only, and Doyle so it’s as good as it’ll get for the lineup. It’s actually a great line up too.
July 4, 20241 yr Taking my 17 year old daughter (no pics) to see Foo Fighters in Cincinnati on July 25th. Nosebleed seats in an outdoor arena. Still packing earplugs, just in case. My second time seeing them, her first. Stoked.

July 5, 20241 yr Not a big huge show or anything, but it's my first live band since my daughter was born! Fun classic rock cover band at a friend of a friend's 4th of July party in Port O'Connor 20240704_183956.mp4
July 16, 20241 yr Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs and Lucinda ACLLive tix go on sale Thursday, presale tomorrow. Ten Bears would be forever grateful for a presale code.
July 16, 20241 yr Took my wife to a concert last week. It was... It was... The New Kids on the Block I'll be honest, it was not bad. I mean, it was entertaining... well put together show. To be honest, the worst part was that it was at COTA and our parking situation sucked. "I told her, three song left... we're out of here." Show was 95-98% women so bathroom lines were fantastic. DJ Jazzy Jeff and Paul Abdul opened. So, I will get an audio cleanse this weekend at all the free shows on Red River at Hot Summer Nights. Struts show coming up in two weeks. Don't be jealous...

I know I'm late responding to this, but I plan on buying tickets to this show like 5 minutes before showtime on stubhub or whatever. There is no fucking way they're selling that arena out at $35 per ticket, much less the $250 they want to charge. I mean, GA Pit admission is $480 per ticket! I bet you'll be able to find tickets for like $15 day of the show.

July 17, 20241 yr 8/4 I'm attending my first show at Red Rocks (Joe Bonamassa)- looking forward to it.
July 21, 20241 yr I got Jason Isbell on Wed night at Majestic Theater. The seats there aren’t always comfortable. Last show there it felt like I was sitting on a spring. #myassisold
July 23, 20241 yr Saw Noah Kahan in Denver a few weeks ago. Really good show, although I was older than the average attendee by probably 25 years. Going to see the Foo in Denver in 1.5 weeks. Can't wait. On 7/17/2024 at 12:51 PM, irishtexan said: I know I'm late responding to this, but I plan on buying tickets to this show like 5 minutes before showtime on stubhub or whatever. July 23, 20241 yr Missus Homebrew and I saw the Drive-By Truckers Southern Rock Opera Revisited in Denver at the Fillmore on July 6. The audience was not seated and it was a VERY enthusiastic crowd. Damn good show. Okay, two idiots got into it about five feet to my left during the encore. One poured a full pint of beer down the other's back. Somehow it didn't escalate into a full-on brawl. Good times.
July 23, 20241 yr Spam time . . . my daughter's band is supporting the legendary Sleater-Kinney for 8 shows in the midwest and northeast. If you go, ask the drummer "hey, isn't your dad from the internet?" Sleater-Kinney + Die Spitz
July 24, 20241 yr T minus one day to Foos and Pretenders in Cincinnati. Four tickets, three going, so we will have elbow room. Stoked.

July 25, 20241 yr Isbell did a cover of the cure’s just like heaven coming out for the encore. That was unexpected and pretty cool.
July 26, 20241 yr Barns Courtney and then The Struts at Stubb's last night. Great show! Dare I say Courtney outperformed the Struts?

July 29, 20241 yr saw wand at the parish on friday night. it was the release date for their new album and they played a bunch of new stuff. wish i could've gotten more familiar with the album before seeing them but it was still good. the parish is a strange venue but the sound was good.

August 1, 20241 yr They got that bill backwards. I saw Special Beat once -- holy smokes that was a high energy show. Loved it.

But UB40 really brought it. English Beat didn't play for very long, which was a bummer, but they were great. Really fun night.
August 1, 20241 yr My daughter's tour supporting Sleater-Kinney got fucked up. Carrie Brownstein is in the hospital, and so the support band doesn't get paid because all the tickets were refunded. 3 straight shows. That's a kick in the pants. To their credit, they played anyway, for free, and the crowd responded. I don't know if the next two shows will happen. They have to hang out on the east coast because they have 3 additional shows booked w/o S-K next week. Welcome to the entertainment world, ladies. Don't spend all your money.
August 1, 20241 yr 1 hour ago, CooterBrown said: They should've passed the bucket. They make a big part of their money off merch, but I don't know if they tried for tips. The crowd wasn't exactly happy, but they won them over, which is what matters in the long run.
