He has zero confidence in Card.  Justifiably, probably, but you have to at least let him take a play action deep ball every now and then.  Don’t give him reads, but call something where he has to let it fly downfield.

Ewers to Card is a similar downgrade as Colt to Gilbert.  Ewers looked like fucking Matt Stafford.

That's awfully cruel to Gilbert.

one play calls tell me Sark knows Ewers is coming back.

This. I hope and pray. Sark buying time and bleeding clock until hopefully Quinn comes back. Card had a good run but will run into a half dozen sacks if Quinn can’t come back.

I’m at the game, no news in stadium, and apologies if common knowledge on the thread, but is there an official word on Ewers? I’m assuming concussion and out at a minimum today. I appreciate your responses.

Landed on non-throwing shoulder. No news yet on what is injured.

Nice! #80 drops that because he know #28 Thompson is lurking- the same dude that ficked mcclelland up earlier.

We absolutely would’ve won had Ewers not hurt his shoulder.

Officiating says otherwise.

Against Alabama. If Ewers is out, which I guess is up in the air, get Card some actual reps in anger. He needs it. If Ewers has a chance then go conservative.

Shoulder it appears. Does not appear to be concussion.

Shit. Thank you

Just eat up 4 min here. Don't let bama have the ball back before the end of the half

Agreed
Sark seemed to be buying time there
Just hope they don't try an inside shovel pass in the last 5 minutes of the 1st half.

Massive drop there

That was a big part of the aggy winning gameplan last season.

any word on Ewers? I’m drunk

About where i'm at. Limit this damage, get to half, and see if Ewers can possibly return at all.

That player knew exactly what he was doing. 95% of the time that fucking move causes catastrophic shoulder injuries. He ain’t coming back on the field.

After the conservative play calling do you go deep here on 1st down to try and catch Alabama sleeping?

Show your cajones drive the fucking field score and run out the clock.  Be Texas for this series! Fucking do it.

Fucking D is playing well.  1 blown play but all we could ask for so far

It only makes sense if we think Ewers may come back in the second half and we are just trying to avoid a card implosion until then.

Or if Sark just wants to get to the half sans a disaster.

Need at least a couple of first downs here

Sark’s going to have to let Card sink or swim on this drive. We can’t limit ourselves to the Tom Herman playbook.

I want young’s clavicle

This. Fumble, touchdown, qb on stretcher.

Let's have a 4:30 minute TD drive, to go into the half up a TD, and then come back out with Ewers in the second half with the ball.

Hook Em Horns!

Let's Fucking GO!!!!!!!

Defense isn't giving up. Nice series in a critical situation.

TE usage please.

Based off the hit, i’m guessing collarbone. Ewers will not come back unless we’re crazy lucky

Sark is better caller and it isn't even close.

LOL. Is 13 years later too soon?

If Ewers is suffering a sprain or something to his non-throwing shoulder we should expect him back after half-time, no?

Is there a fucking update on Ewers or not

Not yet I don’t think
Just started watching, what happened to Ewers?

If you ask the brain dead arseholes who think Colt McCoy faked his injury to protect his draft stock, Ewers is protecting his draft stock.

Shoulder injury is what it looks like but no official word.

Stinger is our best hope but he seemed pissed so I’m guessing clavicle

Can't let Card beat us. If we aren't getting Ewers back, then let it all fly. But for now, we just need to get Quinn back, he's the reason why we were looking like we were gonna win this game.

At least one forward pass this time please

Let’s not ask for unreasonable things.  Jesus fucking Christ

10 10 is an upset brewing???

what the fuck is he smoking?

Typical TV hyperbole. Trying to keep non Texas-Bama fans invested in the game.

LOL fuck you man.

I was thinking the same thing.  It’s an obvious NFL QB vs. a guy who is impotent against college defenses.  Not even a contest.

Ewers extremely relaxed in the pocket while Card immediately shits his pants once he says his first read covered.

God damnit all here Card posts, I’m not a Card guy either but we ran the ball twice for -4 yds and gave him a 3rd and 14. That’s not on him.

Last I saw we were three touchdown underdogs? Just let him go, Sark. What's the worst that could happen?

Bad shit can and will happen. See Arky last year. Interested to see this series but it is apparent Sark is trying to get to half only down one score or tied. For those saying he’s turtling, that’s idiotic.
