Fucking thieves tried to steal my plow truck.  Broke the back window out and beat the ignition switch out of the steering column trying to hot wire the thing.  There is not one available in Alaska, so I'm looking for help in finding one.  Website advice or junkyard scroungers are appreciated.  I will pay for your time and shipping and beers.  Snow will be here soon, so I need one ASAP.

I have a "pull your part" deal in my town.  I've got time tomorrow; I'll go have a look.  Are they all the same, or do they differ by engine/trans?

I doubt too many junkyards have vehicles from the 80s.

You should cross post this in your Alaska thread.  You have lots of folks there who would like to help you out that might not see it here.

Do you still need this?

I think I found one.

A friend of a friend has a cousin who has a junker F150 down in Wasilla.  Correct year with a floor shift transmission.  It should work.  Gonna head down there this weekend and pull it.

If it doesn't work, I'll update this thread

Thanks to all those willing to help a brotha out

I've got a similar weekend planned, except I'm gonna stay home and pull it.

In case your trip doesn't pay off, I found several on ebay. I'm sure shipping will be a bitch.

Or Plan B. If the steering is still okay, just hide a toggle switch (or 2) and a push start button under the dash. Or Plan C use a key and switch for a tractor.
