I think you meant to title this thread as "Things are going incredibly well in Iran."

that's not a surlyism

"Things not going well for the Iranian islamic dictatorship" might be one variation

Interesting to see if this perpetuates or whether it gets squashed quickly. I don't have a betting sense one way or another

Things haven’t gone well in Iran for decades. Maybe that’s changing.

Please, wearing fabric on your head? Let me know when you have to wear a CO2 trapping, germ incubating mask on your face just to buy some scratchy lotto tickets.

My man

Male slavery seems like a step backwards for human rights in Iran.

Iran and the Middle East in general will be going through things for a long time until they have some inkling of equal rights.

The commentary at the 1:30 mark really captures the current dynamic in Iran well.

It refreshing to know that there are still a few people out there visiting besthugecocks.com not just for the huge cocks, but also to appreciate the dialogue and plot/character development.

Context is important.  People skip over the plot, and that does a disservice to the creative minds behind the product.  I mean, it's important to know whether or not Karl Hungus actually fixed the cable....

Don't be fatuous, Jeffrey.

John Bolton is off somewhere furiously masturbating at the thought of blowing up hijab-less Iranian women.

Have you guys seen this? 40 million views in 48 hours. You think it hasn't reached a receptive audience?  The singer is now imprisoned, whereabouts unknown. The lyrics come from tweets that came in aftermath of the shooting of Mahasa Amini.  It got me in the feels.

he's dead

someone needs to arm those protesters

Digging the song - truly beautiful. Love the solidarity, and that it is even further galvanizing the people.
But the people need to do more than protest and strike. They have to kill their oppressors.

I can see the same shit happening in America if trump is back in charge.  I woke up at four this morning with the words of "The Sounds Of Silence" in my head and found the 1965 version to play.  Vietnam war, riots in the streets, tear gas on the Texas Capitol grounds, politicians assassinated, I remember it all well and that song tells me we still have not learned anything.

Educated guess

There’s a 2-part series about the Iranian hostage crisis on American Experience on PBS. The first episode aired last night ant it covers the history leading up to the takeover of the embassy. Part 2 airs tonight. I’ve read the history but they had a lot of film and media coverage last night that I’d never seen before. Kind of brought home what a brutal dictator the Shah was. And what assholes we were for engineering a coup to overthrow the democratically elected government of Mohammad Mosaddegh in order to return him to power.
