Is this the one filmed on Lake Caddo? Tried to get my dear old Mom that lives in Karnack to go to the open casting call.

It could be OK.   Or suck ginormous donkey balls.

I have to choose? Fine. Double meat, double cheese. Because if I’m wrong, and the world DOES end, I at least got a sweet double cheeseburger.

Is it a murderous cult or is the world really ending?

Next up on nobody gives a fuck

I keep getting sucked back in just in case it’s decent, like The Visit. But it’s got a good chance of being meh like Old was. Or outright sucking.

In.

The ultimate M. Knight surprise ending would be a movie I didn't regret watching.

Mustn’t read the plot synopsis on wiki…

The book title is better btw. I wonder why they changed it.

my guess is it's a cabin in the wood, cut off from society, and surrounded by apparent monsters, inside a vortex that ages you rapidly, with a protagonist that kidnaps chicks and has multiple personalities while dodging aliens allergic to water......only to find out they are all already dead.

Nailed it......

Is it like a cabin in the woods prequel? Kind of spoils the ending right? Or just a straight up rip-off?

I have seen one MKS film and it was pretty good. I only saw it once, because I knew the ending and couldn’t sit through it again.

I will leave this to the rest of youz to endure.

What a twist!

This was decent. It helped that this was a book and M. Knight didn’t deviate from the story at all. He did have to add some flashbacks to get the running time to 90 minutes but they’re brief and don’t detract from the story.

Overall: B-

I really hope it's mermen this time.

I liked it.  Solid acting all around.  Pretty interesting premise and it kept me engaged all the way through.
