Bunch of people in here who like it when a girl pens a whole paragraph about how much it's not you, it's her when she breaks up with them. It's weird shit, especially as a public post.

Pretty classy move by that young man.

I don’t buy it. I think he purposely chose the Texas hat and threw it on the ground.  He knew what he was doing.  Someone later told him that he shouldn’t have thrown it. When it doesn’t work out at ND and he needs a new school, he will be reaching out to the people he said no to. Fuck him. He’s only doing this because his agent or dad told him to.  I don’t buy it at all. If you respect the coaches and the school like you claimed, you don’t act like that.  Is God’s Plan the name of his bank in South Bend?

@satyanash has all the letters in a shoe box!

Yall are so sensitive. He chose another school. It's fine. If he shows to be a stud and is changes his mind about coming here, I won't give a single fuck that he tossed a UT hat on the ground.

Notre Dame has been on my bad side since the 1970s. Nothing has changed.

We got some smooth brained posters thinking this kid is classy because of a social media post. Nothing wrong with setting the record straight.

He has the right to pick any school, but if he really respected his father, he wouldn't throw the cap of his dad's alma mater down. That also happened to be the cap of my alma mater, so the kid can get bent.

He can choose whatever school he wants....but don't try to friend zone us and still be friends.....

He could have picked any hat…he chose us to be a dick.  He disrespected his dad and threw it on the ground. He disrespected the coaches that recruited him. If he really thought that highly of Coach Sark and Coach Jackson, you don’t do that. Fuck him.

You know guys, maybe it wasn’t so much disrespect to the school as it was a fuck you to the black and burnt orange color combo

I’m always surprised to hear people talk about “legacies” being locks (or leans). when the dads seemingly have very little to do with the Texas athletic program. I think Jermichael has been somewhat involved with us lately, but he’s not exactly Derrick Johnson or Huff. And I could be completely off base, but I can’t recall James Lott ever being involved in the last three plus decades (he was actually a much more successful track and field athlete than football player, so maybe he does T&F stuff and I don’t pay much attention to that). If Vince or Colt or DJ or any other Longhorn with active ties to UT ever has a stud athlete child that dismisses us, then I’ll be surprised. But I’m not too perplexed Finley or Lott (maybe) are headed elsewhere. Doesn’t mean I don’t think the hat toss wasn’t a shit move by Finley.

Is my post fucked up? I accidentally hit one of the edit functions before I started typing and it justified all the way to the right. I knew that was wrong, so I clicked another (far left) and it seemed ok 🤣. Sorry ‘bout that… (as I look at the current setting, default is the second from the left)

(OK, I see my prior post is awfully uniform 😀.)

Motherfucker is trying to hypnotize us. Stupids like Spider2yBanana are going to wake up naked in a Dairy Queen asking for “dick bacon,” or something equally perplexing.

Not being a tourist is the point.  What i dislike is the tourist aspect the island has adopted.  It's turning into kemah which is even worse.  My dislike is all about disliking the tourist aspect.

Even for teenagers this is amazingly ignorant. History would argue that NFL Hall of Famers like Bobby Layne, Sammy Baugh, Earl, Doak Wlaker, Dickerson, Darell Greene, Singeltary, Bob Lily, John Randle, Steve McMichael, etc did pretty well staying home. Not to mention things on social media live forever. Why would you ever put something out that could offend businesses in a state with a GDP ~2.7 trillion. That is the 2nd highest GDP in the country and would be around 8th vs the world (ahead of countries like Italy, Brazil, Canada, Russia, and Mexico).  Parents of these kids need to slap them upside the head and teach them about risk vs reward.

You're taking some silly college football smack talk so stuffily you're almost literally harumphing. They're going to Notre Dame, they'll be fine, and we get to happily and wholeheartedly cheer against them both.

(Also, Jesus, I'm double their age and haven't heard of half of those guys. No teenager care about players from the 50s).

The first thing a company will do is look through your social media before hiring you. The comment is not that it is likely to have an effect on a job opportunity, but how can this help you? There is a reason I tell my children not to post stupid shit on social media. It only takes one little angry man in HR to get upset about a post to for you to miss out on an opportunity. Again risk vs reward.

It's a risk vs. reward issue for the recruit. He gains nothing from that theatrics. There is nothing wrong with choosing another school over us and I don't think many people were expecting him to come here. When they go out of their way to slap us on the face unprovoked, you don't turn the other cheek. You slap back. This asshat will be hated in Texas forever just like the brocks. Fuck the brocks and the finleys.

Very true. Most on here never had to worry about their teen years being documented. I would be cleaning bathroom stalls if that was the case. Just saying kids need to be more intentional these days.

I wonder if Notre Dame will rescind the offer now that they have read his twitter account.

Georgia or ND will not do that over this, but it has happened in the past. I am being old school on this, but being intentional on your public appearance is just being intelligent. None of these posts likely matter, but why post something with only downside.

The position I am least concerned with in high school recruiting is WR. Bummer we missed Finley, but we have a stacked room and there is always quality in the portal.

Nah. Kids crave attention, and don’t give them any.  Texas will be fine. Besides, why is a kid still disparaging a team they chose not to be part of? Move on already.

No company cares about this. The dude could tweet out “fuck Texas Football and it’s bitch fans!” and it would have zero repercussions on his career prospects.
