Hotdamn a bear.  I really like defense, so I just came a lil' bit.  All this while Sark is at SEC media days like a mob boss calling a hit while he's out of town somewhere.

I like ball, and I like to talk ball, so I always knew disrupting the passer and speeding up his clock was important.  Cause a few errant/early throws, and just fuck with him in general.  But then I watched the David Ash interview on 3rd and Longhorn - he said that there were times he got so shook that he couldn't see or process anything.  His mind just went blank.  If you look at D Line/EDGE/OLB recruiting the last three cycles, there's gonna be a lot of QB's who go blank in the coming years.  Fuck em' all very much and cheers to the 50 sack & 25 interception seasons this defense will be putting up.   This would be a dream defense to play DB in.

It's not a good time to be a fan over at the Georgia 247 site. Spoilered and poorly formatted because I just copied it, but to those who enjoy:

I have no idea if it's reality, but if losing on Ojo contributed to upping the package for Atkinson and Johnson, I'll take that trade any day of the fucking week.

What a good day.

You'd be surprised--- people will wear flip-flops/sandals/topsiders if it's a warm Red River Shootout, and there have been more than a few warm ones from the 70s onwards.

Smart shanked Sark at the SEC super sessions.

Sooooo what are the sec media talking about today at sec media day?  Anything relevant to Texas?

follow up- has there been any movement in the composite team recruiting rankings?

So you're saying that we got two 5 stars when the thread was full of off topic shit? And you want it to not be full of off topic shit in the future? Do you not like getting 5 star recruits?

If our recruiting success was based on the stupid useless drivel posted in recruiting threads we would have the #1 class multiple years running and 25, 5 stars in each class.

Why not just use your socks?

I rarely go with boots and jeans to the fair. Too hot and too much walking, typically. I may have been in flip flops that day, but most likely tennis shoes. I may have just thought I could salvage everything by getting to the bathroom. But I’m usually pretty resourceful. Once had to use a corduroy bucket hat.

Allow me to be the first person here to tell Chace Calicut that he can get all the way fucked, stay all the way fucked, and to enjoy his shitty time in a shitty state after having pissed off all of Texas. Choke on that dick, north shore shitbird.

Don't hold back.

Tell us how you really feel.

And can we shut up about the juggernaut that Texas Tech is not and never will be.

I feel like Chris Gilbert is invaluable for our recruiting in Georgia for some reason. If I remember correctly, he played a huge part in us landing Terry as well.

Sooooo what are the sec media talking about today at sec media day?  Anything relevant to Texas?

I rarely go with boots and jeans to the fair. Too hot and too much walking, typically. I may have been in flip flops that day, but most likely tennis shoes. I may have just thought I could salvage everything by getting to the bathroom. But I’m usually pretty resourceful. Once had to use a corduroy bucket hat.

maybe you should not eat so many chili dogs?

Looks like Cooper would move us up to #4

I have no idea if it's reality, but if losing on Ojo contributed to upping the package for Atkinson and Johnson, I'll take that trade any day of the fucking week.

i'm a t-shirt amateur in this thread but even i could see the freakout was misplaced

and while we are grilling big cats and shitting outside, i will confess my greatest culinary sin...

i love the bueno chillada (taco beef in a tortilla w/ chiliqueso) at taco bueno

We sorted this out- I would never fucking do that with my finger. I used a chip as RG 3 confirmed. And it was salsa into queso. I’ve done this 100 times in my life/ that’s how it’s done, always salsa into queso.

just admit to the crime and we will let you go -- Queso cops

I’m too lazy to go make a list of all the whiny little twats from the past 10 days or so, but maybe tomorrow.

There's plenty of time yet to get drunked up on a Tuesday night.

They're different players, IMO. Atkinson is more of a pure LB. He's allegedly going to be great in coverage, he's a missile towards the ball, and he's a true sideline to sideline guy with amazing instincts. Not that Hill doesn't fit some of that, but Hill is substantially bigger and he's a special pass rusher. Hill's still got work to do in coverage, although it's stretch to imply that he's not already good at it.

Justin Williams? That guy was more of a comp for Hill than Atkinson. He was praised as a OLB blitzer and needed work on reads/awareness/instincts. Atkinson is a pure LB. He can blitz, but he's best in the second level, using what are said to be amazing instincts for reading plays and being a tackling machine. He's a fucking witch on the field already.

Gun to my head, I'm taking Hill over either guy, then Atkinson, then Williams. Hill has the instincts and the elite blitzing talent.

Atkinson is a little shorter than Derrick Johnson was, but they're otherwise the same recruit - pure LBs with blitzing skills, but they're going to clean up and disrupt behind the front 3/4. I'm not saying that Atkinson will be a CFB HoFer or a borderline NFL HoFer, but if you're looking for comps as it relates to Texas, I'd pick Johnson over Hill or Justin Williams. That's just one guy's POV.

Two guys. Spoke with DJ a couple of months ago and he used the same comp. Atkinson trained with DJ and he said that he is basically a clone of himself

I'm assuming this is about Cooper, but it's fun to speculate.

Hell, at this point, maybe it's someone sooner and it's another flip.
