That new Florida guy's list reads like a lot of wish casting.

Also, we are on the brink of an all-time defensive class.

Yeah, I think Wafle recently released a top 3 that didn't include Fla.  There are some others on there that aren't going Gata either, imo.

Who wouldn't want to play for a coach on the hot seat?

Real question is who would want to play in Gainesville? The place is a shit hole. If I’m a Florida kid and not leaving the state, Tallahassee and Miami are 1000 times nicer.

I get going to play for Urban or Spurrier but Billy does not have that draw

Trailerhasse over Gainesville is a choice I guess.

My favorite comment in the Gator write up was that they have an international player on the OL, so the other programs would have a hard time matching that for Sone…not knowing we have an international player on the DL (Kanu) that will probably host him. He seems really dialed in.

Zaden Krempin has his own lawn care business, shows he has gumption. Plus, he can help when we changeover to grass.

But you think 18 year old kids give a fuck  about the local area? Football players live in a bubble and they just don’t care where the school is unless it’s a extreme outlier like WSU or Tech.

That's a wild take.  While geography may not move the needle like a big ole bag of money, the school's location is definitely included in the calculus for most of these kids.  It's also helpful to the program when kids enjoy the area enough to stay put during the summer months prior to Fall Camp.  The continuity built during pass shell and summer S&C can be the difference in a championship season.  The city of Austin is a feather in the cap of Texas recruiting.

The ratio of championship off seasons in places like Austin, LA, Seattle and Miami vs championship off seasons in shit holes like Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, Clemson and Athens is firmly in the latters favor. Championship caliber programs have their players stay on campus because that the expectation and culture of the program that is built to compete at the elite level. Austin is nice so hopefully our players stick around in the offseason is the kind of unserious approach to football that defined Texas during our 2010’s dark age. Now obviously in the era of NIL having access to Austin’s corporate NIL is an absolute super power to turbo charge the football program.

Athens is a cool town. I loved visiting there when I was younger.

Only certain schools could pay players back then. Now, everyone can pay players. Would you rather have money in Austin or Norman?

That is the kind of reaching for breadcrumbs that shows the writer has absolutely nothing. Nothing.   "Well, both the recruit and his mother have blond hair and like spaghetti and we have several players who like spaghetti and who have blond hair so we should have an in."

I’m on board with this for sure.  The latter list is a bunch of cheater schools but they are certainly more passionate tha. Those with programs in major cities

Don't know if it was posted on here, but his commitment video was him jumping in a pool with Dan Lanning.

Some pretty big news on the OTF recruiting video today.  Gerry and CJ said Samari Matthews has replaced his Clemson OV with I believe Miami and they've always thought it was a Texas/Clemson battle.

I prefer go head to head with Clemson instead of Miami.

Have the spring portal additions arrived yet?  And the rest of the 25' class?

Need a reverse video of him jumping out of the pool and putting his shirt back on.
