October 8, 20223 yr Popular Post Dude deserves his own thread. Easily the best TE on The Forty since Jermichael. Can't find any Tweets for today yet, but here's one from the WVU game:
October 8, 20223 yr What a difference a year makes. Our TE group totals for the entire season in 2021 was 31 catches, 251 yds and 5 TDs. So far this year, Sanders is checking in at 25 catches, 283 yds, and 5 TDs.
October 9, 20223 yr JT Sanders, through 6 games, is third in Texas history for TD's in a single season among TE's. Behind Pat Fitzgerald with 8 (1995) and David Thomas 6 (1998).
October 9, 20223 yr I'm shocked. After the last 10 years of watching Texas football, it's like we suddenly rediscovered that we are allowed to pass to tight ends again. I'm all aboard the JT Sanders hype train, though. I hope the dude smashes every TE record here at the 40 Acres by the time he is done here.
October 9, 20223 yr Stupid question alert. Is Billingsley in the dog house? I sure want me some 2 TE looks with both Billingsley and Sanders running routes. That would be damn near impossible to stop.
October 9, 20223 yr Posted in the Ewers thread – JT Sanders is looking like a Jermichael Finley with an offensive coordinator who knows how to use him.
October 9, 20223 yr Author This tweet has two vids. Second clip features the dime Quinn drops to JT in the second quarter. Might have to clickthru to see it, though.

October 9, 20223 yr I work with a woman whose husband coaches at Ryan. Last season she told me he is a massive athletic talent who in HS didn't really have to work all that hard because he was just that much freakishly better than everybody else but if the coaches can get him to put in the work will be an absolute beast. Looks like Sark and Co has him putting in the work.
October 9, 20223 yr Somewhat disgusting that the best we could do with Thomas and Finley over their times here was 5TDs in a season.

What's crazy about that pass to JT is Quinn's anticipation. Quinn starts to throw the ball before Sanders is even with the defender.

Never forget that 2007 OU game where Jermichael was ripping Sooner assholes in the first half and then Greg said, "well that's enough of that"

October 9, 20223 yr He is just scratching the surface. On that first catch where he unfortunately stepped out of bounds, I was amazed at how fast he was moving at that size.

So an explosive, playmaking, physical tight end with possibly the best hands on the team has no resemblance to Gates? Riigght
October 9, 20223 yr I can’t believe how long wells gone with a legit threat at TE. I had forgotten what this feels like.
October 9, 20223 yr I remember being so jealous of OU for how they used Jermaine Gresham. That dude was like a Swiss army knife. He allowed them to go from passing sets to running sets with perfect personnel and no subbing. It created so many mismatches. It's awesome to see Texas not only have an elite TE but also use him correctly. Edited October 9, 20223 yr by Mikey4
October 9, 20223 yr He's a complete badass. Am I wrong that this makes me a little ragey: Quote FRESHMAN (2021)Played in all 12 games … appeared primarily on special teams with the field goal unit. Maybe he needed to get bigger and stronger to be an effective blocker but the hands and athletic ability were evident in his high school film. I know, I know, how can you keep Cade Brewer and Jared Wiley off the field?

October 10, 20223 yr JT looks more and more like a slower TE William-Harris-prototype circa 1984. Why slower? Harris had speed to outrun college DBs, saw it with my own eyes.

September 10, 20232 yr 1 minute ago, Coach pop a bitch said: 3 catches for 60 yards. 0 blocks fucking us Never mind I love him again Let's fucken go!!!
September 10, 20232 yr Dude could have kept on trying to bounce it outside, but my man looked back inside and saw three bitchass Bama fucks and chose violence.
September 12, 20232 yr I have a friend who is a Colorado fan, and we both agreed this is a Sanders year. Sure enough, after we said that, on the last Texas drive, big 0 delivered an incredibly important block on 3rd down to lead to the next third down conversion which iced the game.
