Played a great game.  Fights hard for yards and moves chains.  He’ll be missed.

You can tell Sark really respects Whittington. Always brings him up in press conferences.

I say give Whittington some type of job on staff. This is the type guy you want around the program.

My favorite player on this team. Plays like a beast, does the dirty work, always has a smile on his face. Also loves Bevo. Graduated I believe. A certified badass motherfucker with the ball in his hands.  JWhitt is the truth.

Longhorns WR Jordan Whittington following Texas’ Sugar Bowl loss to Washington: “I gave the university everything I had, every day, for 365 days a year.” #HookEm

What a great clutch catch on the last drive.

Great UT career once he was finally able to stay healthy.

Gotta give this brother his flowers, did whatever the coaches asked him to do and gave 100 percent effort every time he was on the field.

Yup- would never question his toughness or dedication. Hope he has a chance to play at the next level,

After the Sugar Bowl, @MoCityMitch shared the love he has for @J_Whitt3 and what Whittington meant to him throughout his lone year at Texas"He's always doing everything he can for the team. That's one thing I took away from him...I pray for his future, I hope he's able to do…

Please let JWhitt know that if he can’t land on in the NFL that there will be a spot for him as a GA/Analyst if he wants to come back.

The young man bleeds burnt orange and his dedication to the team, his position, and his teammates is something that should always have a home here.

Man…he’s a guy you can’t help but love. I hope that he is more successful than any of us can imagine. He’s a winner of a man already.
#165

Thank you JWhitt! All the seniors that stayed and fought through injury and all of it. Thank you and good luck in the NFL!

#167

I've never been more proud of a guy wearing the burnt orange. He was constantly overcoming adversity. A winning TD on that last series would have been a storybook moment for him and Texas, but not his fault it didn't happen. Hopefully one day Jordan is officially our "Minister of Culture." Sounds like he already is behind the scenes.

Hookem JWhitt, you gave everything you had every time you touched the field[emoji869]

Got dayum, where did all the dust come from?

An outstanding young man who I wish nothing but the absolute best for. A better representative for the University of Texas would be hard to find.

If every player put in the time and effort, and showed the love for our school, our coaches, and our players as Jordan Whittington has shown over these too few years, we'd never lose a game.

Thank you, Jordan. Truly, thank you.

Actually, we do. There are two problems, though: (1) figuring out how to put a womb in a 5-gallon jar, and (2) making it gestate a 20-year-old (in 9 months) instead of an infant. First one might be doable, but the second is prolly gonna require time travel.

Be a good man...be a good man.

Some things change...some don't.

Texas forever.

I was excited about him when he came into the program, and I couldn't be more proud of what he became despite all of the adversity he faced during his time in Austin.

Hook'em, JWhitt.

One of my favorite players of the current era. I hope he finds lots of success in his future endeavors.

#178

Some team is gonna take a “chance” on J Whitt because the stats don’t look eye watering.  What they are gonna get is a complete team player that will give you everything everytime he’s on the field.  His combine work and private workouts are gonna have GMs saying.  wtf.  Get this guy

#180

Watching him play you never wondered if he was giving his all. Combine that with coming back time after time (after time) from injuries and I don't know if I rooted much harder or cheered louder for any player.

I nearly jumped through the roof on his final catch as a Longhorn ... that will be a lasting moment evocative of the excitement and potential he brought to every play he was involved in here.

Hook 'em.

#182

Wish we could have him longer but everything has to come to an end.  He was worthy of more targets than he got but never complained and you knew he’d never leave for more playing time etc.  Like Rojo you knew he bled orange without ever having heard him talk.  Just the way he played and carried himself on the field.  Hoping he stays healthy and gets a chance to play in the league.   Thank you for everything you gave the Longhorn Nation.

#183

I hate to see any of the players leave but I’m sad to see Jordan go.  Great player even better person.  Guys like Jordan do well in the NFL because they know how to overcome adversity all while having a big smile on his face.  He will be missed.

Seriously, I don’t get into storybook meant to be bullshit but at that moment I was like holy fuck we might do this! That’s an amazing feeling.

I posted this on the 995 board yesterday but will re-post here.

I heard Johntay interviewed on @BobbyBON3 pod a few weeks and can still recall what he said about Whittington: "Every locker room needs a Jordan Whittington."

I asked Texas Longhorns WR Jordan Whittington what this moment means to him, since he said he feels like he went through hell to get here in a previous question asked by a reporter. His response was inspiring, authentic, and motivating:#UT #Texas #Longhorns #CFB #NFLCombine…
