Iowa State is going to have difficulty summoning up more than a gentle breeze and close to a negative on the Fujita scale against the reinvigorated Longhorn offense. Maybe an early score will get the Io-way hopes up, but any other points will come late late when the regulars have a seat.

I lived in western Iowa until I was 16. That part is ISU territory and even our HS - a perennial state-champ contender - had the Cyclone mascot.

I have tons of relatives up there that go to the home games but don't travel. Many have kids that went to ISU.

But there are a few cousins who went to ISU and have kids at ISU and all they do is post Nebraska shit on FB. Pics in Husker gear. I'm waiting for them to post something about ISU today so I can roast them.

But I do have one cousin living in Iowa who is a huge Longhorn fan. Her and her family have tons of Longhorn stuff. Started liking us because we beat Nebraska a lot, then fell in love when VY put a dagger in USC's heart.

And no - you don't want pics. Trust me.

Tl;dr - get ready for the beatdown.

I'm changing this to 38-0 ISU

Do the kneeldowns at the end count towards the "rush attempts"?

Too low on the prop bet but 28-23 has to be in the mix on score, I’d think.

Pos rep for 49-0 reference.

Yes. I said whatever was in the box score under the rushing attempt category upthread.
I have 43 as the number.

Prop- total rushing attempts for Texas- all players. Tiebreaker if rushing attempts are tied is total yards.

Sneaky matchup. Had this one penciled in as aL pre season, but ISU’s struggles on offense and how strong the Texas offense has looked with Ewers gives me some pause. Last time I flipped a preseason pick was Tech and that didn’t work out well, so hoping for better things here.

Part of me thinks we can’t have nice things and are still going to drop this; but with ISU’s offense, I think 24-28 points is going to be enough for Texas. It’s hard to imagine Texas not hitting that number at home, with Ewers. I do think ISU covers though.

Texas: 28

ISU: 23

Rushes/yards: 32/137

definitely going against the grain again this week, with Texas 17, ISU - 11...prop.... 34- 103 yards

I Keep having flashbacks to the last time I felt this good after OU game...1981, beat up on OU the entire 2nd half, whooped 'em 34-14, got fat and happy, were #1 in the polls and went to Arkansas....barely got off the bus...got beat on 42 - 11?  or 42 - 3.....

2005 was great and all, but I expected to beat up on OU that year.  34-14 in 1981 was a surprise...at least to me.

Closest I could see I think. If someone else was closer let me know. Will figure it out later.

If we had a decent D on 3rd and 4th down, the 11 I predicted for ISU would have been very close.

Our RB combo has to be one of the best in the Big12.   Stay healthy, get Rojo more attempts, and they could help keep opponents off the field.   Keep opponents off the field, improve a tiny amount on 3rd and 4th down D, and probably only lose 1-2 more games.

@EZ$ with the win- he was off 16 points via Huckleberry's method.  I think that is the furthest from the bullseye to win yet this year.
