Oh I forgot I saw some weird ad behavior like that and took a screenshot. I shouldn't have ads in CR because burnt tree fiddy etc, but it looks like maybe they can somehow be included in the preview when someone links to another thread? To be clear, I don't give a shit.

actually that's super weird. The comment in question is here -

. It is in DT, the comment linked within the comment is also in DT, so... not clear why there would be ads anyways. And I'll go back and check on mobile in a second but it looks like the ad is no longer there. Per the screenshot, I saw it on Friday at about noon thirty. Just checked - doesn't show an ad there when I load again on mobile.

The ads continue to prohibit me from using the multi-quote feature.

As I am a luddite dumbass, can somebody tell me how to give a donation to Surly if it reduces the ads that make it so difficult for me to read the threads?

I enjoy this hive of scum and villainy, and as it is free, I’ve got nothing to bitch about. But seriously - if sending some cash will stop the fucking ads - tell me how and how much.

Ina Garten and her fucking cakes are truly a beat down.

@immamac not sure if you already know this, but I’ve noticed that when someone embeds another post or thread from here into a thread that I’m on, a bottom banner ad shows up on my screen.

I have noticed this I'm working on figuring out a fix with the ad team.

Thanks as well.  I paid when I was a previous name and no ad issues, and I figure my ad nightmare is because I don't subscribe.  I'm about to go off the grid in madness or subscribe.

My adds move up and down, and block me when I try to type.  They are like gremlins.  Wait, I can get $10 off Amazon if I get a Discover Card?

Signing up fixed it and cured my Ad woes.  Many thanks.

Have been getting lots of ads since logging in this morning. What should I do to remove them? Using Dark Theme, no Avatars.

Ads all over the pages. And no, I do not need the crap being peddled. Help!!!!!

Done and yeah. I really think it is funny to get ads for Mexico trips where I have to pay is pesos. And what the heck is Temu?

Yeah, still there. Phillips Norelco is the flavor of the day!

I logged out and logged back in and there are still ads all over. I’m on iPhone mobile, dark mode and using Firefox.

Also notifications are coming up odd. They are grayed out.

Just here to help. You folks run an amazing site.

My non-cloakroom pages are now littered with ads as well.

Nm. Cleared cache and ads went away.

Getting bombarded with ads. I got no ads -- I thought due to burnt ends -- for a long time. About a month or so ago I started getting 'em. Now it's a bombardment. Tried clearing cache and signing out as suggested above but no change. I saw a reference to treefiddy the other day for the first time and couldn't find a description for what it is - do I need to sign up for that too?

I get the center 3 ads. I get a popup ad, and I get an ad at the bottom and a blank white box underneath it (the blank box may have something to do with ghostery).

Seeing ads all over the place on mobile, and while I'm a poor I'm paying money. Should I be getting ads?

seems to have just stopped. hadn't when you posted that

Ads out the wazoo, and I just re-subscribed yesterday, which didn't stop it.

more like paleo-ezoic

Except cookies are not on that diet.

On desktop with Edge I’m on Server Big with no ads.  Safari mobile I’m on Server with mad ads…clicking ‘delete cookie/change server’ does nothing.  Do I really need to clear all cookies and do all the bullshit re-logging in your kill these ads?

Ok cleared cookie just for Sury and now on server s100…I think, it renders below the clear cookie button.  No ads now.

There's an Ezoic cookie that is ignoring the meta tag. Clear cookies and you should be fine or it'll expire soon and go back to normal.

it's doing it again

Had ads all over the place yesterday and clearing cookies fixed it, but they're back again today. Is this what non-tree fiddy posters see every day? They're fucking everywhere.

this shit is miserable and random. ads bombarded me earlier this week, then went away, and now the motherfucking things are everywhere again.

There is an issue with cookies being ignored and expired. It'll work itself out in a day or you can clear your cookies and cache and that fixes it.

Until that happens please hide this thread from shadow operative
