A big part of missing multiple games/weeks is conditioning for Vic’s defensive system. Part of why I’d expect nada from Hunter if she even came back.
November 27, 20223 yr The defensive ball pressure is just so different with Harmon on the court. There can't be many players better than her in the country.
November 27, 20223 yr Texas wins 74-50 in Rori’s comeback game - she had 11 points 3-3 with the chance to win our next 7 to enter conference play 10-3 after the 1-3 stretch without Rori Back in action on Saturday against USF Edited November 27, 20223 yr by Js1
November 27, 20223 yr I wish they did +- in the box score because I bet Harmon's +- in this game was the team high by a good bit. She played 23 minutes today but Texas is going to need 35 minutes a game from her like last season.
November 27, 20223 yr Good game against a quality opponent. I'd try letting Sonya bring the ball up versus pressure when Harmon is out. Edited November 27, 20223 yr by TommysTinyTowels

SEC Women's Basketball Tournament: All 16 teams will compete in a single-elimination format, consistent with the current format but with two additional games. The top four seeded teams will continue to receive a bye through the first two rounds of the tournament

December 3, 20223 yr USF leads 23-18 after the first quarter. We're trying to play their quick style and we can't keep up the pace. We need to settle down and play some defense
December 3, 20223 yr We're letting the blonde girl for USF just light it up from 3 against us. USF leads 42-33 at half
December 3, 20223 yr 42-33 USF leads at halftime... gotta come out strong in the 3rd qtr. 🤘 Edited December 3, 20223 yr by LTtxfan

They are 7 and 2 Beat TCU Georgia Tech and Alabama. Only lost by five to number 17 Michigan And we have a long way to go to figure this out. They appear to have better shooters than us, and we look terrible in transition D
December 3, 20223 yr 1 minute ago, LTtxfan said: Dang they are playing like shit... Alright.. Two quick steals... 2 Texas buckets. Finally showing some life
December 3, 20223 yr Dang, tough possession with 4 shots for Texas and no bucket. Timeout 3rd qtr 3:51 left USF 48 Texas 42
December 3, 20223 yr Texas offense is just struggling... Missed 11 of last 12 shots 53-45 USF leads 1:45 left in 3rd
December 3, 20223 yr 56-53 here we come !!! 🤘 USF timeout 7:21 left Edited December 3, 20223 yr by LTtxfan
December 3, 20223 yr If Taylor wasn't out we'd be looking a lot better. Her presence in the paint is crucial for us this year. C'mon Ladys!
December 3, 20223 yr Furious last couple minutes... Both teams competing like crazy 63-62 Texas up again. 3:20 left
December 3, 20223 yr We needed that bucket Hadi missed, but at least she got the board on the other end. Tough game, great opponent.
December 3, 20223 yr USF won because we let them play their fast pace offense against us and we couldn't keep up. No excuse to lose a home game like this.
December 3, 20223 yr Poor execution by Texas on late game possession down only 3pts, results in a turnover. Damn... 1st loss in Moody 🙄
December 3, 20223 yr Harmon looked really rusty, kept tripping on her on feet, didn't guard very well.
December 3, 20223 yr USF played better and earned the win tonight. They might be an NCAA tournament team in March...
December 3, 20223 yr Puisi played 40 minutes, 25 points, 10 for 19 and 5 for 11 from three. They are 8 and 3 we are 3 and 4..... This is not like losing to a much lesser team, they will be in the tournament. Not the team I expected this year, but we are a work in progress. At least Shaylee looked better and when we get Jones back that should help. Don't see that patented Vic defense yet, hopefully in a month the team play will be better. Go Horns.
December 3, 20223 yr Not worried about the team or this game. 23 first quarter points can’t happen but they continued to play better defense. sometimes a team just shoots well and usf did that.

December 3, 20223 yr Work-in-Process Defense needs work. Offense really needs work. Haven't had much of a chance to watch this season yet, but a glaring hole for the Horns last night is terrible outside shooting. Really wish Texas had a couple of better 3pt shooting threats -- USF definitely did. Coach'em up Vic !!! Edited December 3, 20223 yr by LTtxfan

Best shooter we have is Sonya, and Vic dog housed her in the second half. Might be hurt….

I thought they started to figure some stuff out in the 4th quarter, but I think it was too late. We are clearly out of contention for a 1 seed. I think our ceiling is a 3, which is fine.
December 4, 20223 yr Ebo having a damn game in South Bend against UConn, considering she was invisible in their loss to Maryland on Thursday
December 4, 20223 yr Cathartic game for us, the right opponent at the right time, should build some confidence. Nice to see the smiling faces, Shaylee and Sonya both with great games and looking more comfortable. With Taylor out Hadi getting some valuable time. Fun game to watch, we will get there. Go Ladys!
