I just heard on MSNBC Fulton was supposed to have all early votes counted by 10pm and be completely done by midnight.

DeKalb dumps. Warnock back in the lead and shouldn’t surrender it

Doesn’t look like a surge in Dem voters so far. Warnock needs metro Atlanta to have shown up and be counted.  A lot of rain down this way today, which may have dampened turnout.

it shouldn’t be this close.

All I can say is thank god California doesn’t do run-offs. We’d be here until February.

DeKalb just took a dump on Herschel.

Assad margins. 92-8

What’s the point of having a needle NYT if it never works?

I honestly can't fathom one person voting for Herschel Walker under any circumstances, but some how over a million people will. We are insane.

The wait has begun on Metro Atlanta. Three counties, Fulton, Cobb and DeKalb, are the backbone of Warnock’s support and the population centers of the entire state. Cobb and Fulton have reported just over half their votes. DeKalb, a Democratic stronghold, has reported only 5 percent.

Election night commentary is always an informative lesson on who tries to be informed on the topics they are commenting on, and who rushes to post a reaction based off of a CNN graphic.

What do you not like? The auto refresh starting at the top instead of the last read?

As if Trump didn't already have a bad day, his hand picked candidate is about to get blown out.

Inevitable. Warnock overperforming just about every county by 1-3 points that isn’t just a stop light and a Dairy Queen.

But on the other hand fuck Reddit and its shitty format

And, on yet another hand, yay reddit for giving 18 year old girls a format to post photos of their buttholes

I hope you're right. I checked the results after Texas blew the basketball game and was stunned how close it is.

The bullshit power sharing agreement is over. Dems now fully control all committees

Yeah I called it Warnock +3 an hour ago, but I am also a schmuck. Dave usually holds on to the end

Yeah the Needle is back up at Warnock +3.1

I’m sure I’m missing a few, but of the high profile, “holy shit what are they doing here” candidates:

Won: Vance
Lost: Oz, Walker, Mastriano, Lake, Masters, Bolduc, Palin

I was about ready to write-off this country a little over a month ago. It’s been nice to regain a little faith in the people.

This isn’t going to be all that close in the end.

Who knows him better than them?

We haven't seen the last of Herschel Walker! Because, you know, he lives here.

Sucks that Ohio has really moved into lost cause territory.

I was kind of feeling similar, but many of those races were quite close.  If the GOP can radicalize another 10% of their voter base and some independents, they can win those types of races.  I'm not sure the GOP wants to do that after the mid term results. They seem to want to move away from Trump and election denialism, but, the GOP isn't that far off from reaching some of those goals.  Some of those races were razor thin.

Dems defended every Senate incumbent and picked up an open seat in Biden’s first midterm with his approvals in the low-40s and inflation at a decades-long high

They’re not going to get such a perfect environment again. And they blew it.

Warnock first Deep South Dem senator to win re-election since 2008

  • Author

Official - every incumbent senator from both parties up this cycle won re-election. First time ever.

Sucks for all those women in Texas that Herschel is going to beat and make having abortions now.  At least in the Senate, he'd have staff to manage him.

It's because out of all the big states, it's the most white and least educated.

Getting back Ohio is about reinvigorating the unions and job creation.
