It was Jalon Daniels first game back after several weeks out. There was going to be some adjustment for him coming back, and you could argue he looked better in the second half. It's conceivable he shook off the rust against us and will get the offense rolling to make a game of it against KSU.

I understand oddsmakers are good at their craft and have the uncanny ability to magically be accurate to the nth degree. At the same time they probably aren’t forlorn, depressed, wounded and untrusting Longhorn football survivor group members. Based on a single bet, who would take Texas as an 8 point favorite? Knowing what you have witnessed it doesn’t make sense to us non-Vegas oddsmaker types. Does it? All I know is week after week we had the "experts" on here telling us how Vegas didn't know what they were doing with the spread in our games. And yet we're 7-4 against the spread so if you bet on texas against the spread every game you'd be in the black. The Surly "experts"? Yeah, they'd be bleeding red right now.

November 21, 20223 yr It should also be pointed out that TCU was without their best WR and RB for a significant chunk of the Baylor game.

Best WR and RB for most of the 2H, best KR for whole game. Darius Davis is a playmaker and having him out is a big factor. Having QJ and Kendre Davis out for the 2H was massive. QJ has been a little inconsistent, with some bad drops including some in the BU game, but he's an NFL WR and heads and shoulders better than the others on the roster. Baylor was on adrenaline the entire game and had their hearts and souls ripped out with the walkoff. UT wins this by 3+ scores.
