World Cup Day 4 - MOR/CRO, GER/JAP, SPN/CRC, BEL/CAN

Featured Replies

Japan on them. That was a great first touch and run with no pussy falling down because of a jersey pull

That was a helluva chip shot. The krauts do be in a bit of trouble. Two disappointing cups in a row?

Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, über alles in der….

Scheisse!!!!!

Don't cry for me Argentina (and Germany)

Anyone else loving the fact that they're actually adding all the missed time to the end of the halves now?  Hopefully it stops all the time wasting bullshit.

Buddy is at the game he said this Japan fans are by far the loudest he's seen. He went to the USA and Mexico games as well.

Die Mannscheisse

Their attack is really anemic. None of those guys scare you. Mueller was past his prime in the last WC.

Agree.  This is what you get with Havertz as your 9

WHAT THE FUCK GERMANY?! Once again in the cup losing in the group stage to a team they weren't supposed to..... mother... fucker....

their XG today was 3.27. They created tons of chances but the Japan keeper made some nice saves and Germany missed a few.

Bet that cut deep in Germany.  Sweet

Looking that way. And really disappointing for this team, which really should be in the quarterfinals every time (at least).

There’s obviously some rot in der Mannschaft.

For an anemic attack It took a ton of saves plus the goal post to keep them to one.

Had forgotten last cup's Schadenfreude.  This one feels better.

Wasn't really Schadenfreude. Mexico is a good team and far better than Japan.

The US results against both strongly suggest otherwise

Germany looked wayyy too patient, but yes Japan was a bit lucky to not give up 1-2 goals in the second half. Germany just couldn’t finish I thought Japan actually looked really good though too.

Perhaps the perception of Germany’s strength is a tad bit due to previous cups and this team isn’t what it used to be. I have Belgium going far, so hopefully the buck the trend of favorites getting upset early.

That didn't age well.  :)

How? It landed on Japan after the one to one tie when I said it. A toss up both had equal chance to win it. Japan was no longer looking like an underdog.

I mean that's kind of the issue. They aren't very clinical.
