Simple……brilliant…..and well illustrated.

Gotta appreciate the GOP's ability to plow through, ignore all data and facts, and stay on message. Crime is way down, they didn't allow a border bill to pass, and the economy is still doing pretty fucking great. But, what are they going to do, come up with new material every 4 years?? Nah, who's got time for that?

Asking rhetorically, but at what point do his supporters finally break out of their Stockholm syndrome?

"Okay, last week we had to pretend not to understand how biracial people work to defend the shit he said. Yesterday, we had to go along with his idea that the stock market ebbs and flows based on whether it's looking likely he'll win the election or not. Today, we have to become photography experts to try to make his AI rant seem not so fucking stupid."

It's got to be exhausting.

Not even mentioning the daily "what a great press conference/rally speech/debate/phone call" when he delivers his latest round of word vomit.

Nope it’s never. Ask the Heaven’s Gate folks when they realized Marshall Applewhite was full of shit.

This. We are stuck hearing about how great and wonderful this fucking guy is until the end of time.

It's not exhausting. They choose blind faith because it's easy. Critical thought takes effort and, frankly, honesty or at least an honest perspective.

A little pandering. A little hate mongering. Some simple dogma to memorize. Mix it all up, and you have a Get Out of Brain Free card.

It doesn't rely on stupidity to work. Lots of smart people don't want to keep thinking about troublesome things like their world changing or monumental universal issues.

Don't forget keenly worded posts on the internet! I did my part!

The above enrages me towards those in the public who lead opinion and debate (Dems, News media) and my own failure to find even a little way to change minds. I'm not built for an argument-proof world.

Maybe the electorate wasn't ready for it until the spectre of the choice between an old crook who could still sound vital and a good man too old for the job.

Anyway, better days, my friends!
