Thieves who broke into a southern German museum and stole hundreds of ancient gold coins got in and out in nine minutes without raising the alarm, officials said Wednesday, in a further sign that the heist was the work of organized criminals.

"It's clear that you don't simply march into a museum and take this treasure with you,"

Seems like that's exactly what they did?

Kinda pathetic heist. The coins have value mainly because they are ancient Celtic pieces. As if the thieves would get that or even be able to sell them intact. The gold, if melted down, might be worth $250,000 in an honest market, which they will not see. These goobs will take a pretty steep haircut selling to fences.

Suppose they get $125,000. How many people split that loot? Comes pretty close to the commandment of "Never steal anything worth less than a year's salary." Especially if they get brilliant and destroy historical artifacts.

I bet they were either in Istanbul later that night, or else have been sitting in a house across the street from the museum.

So you know people?

On the one hand, there's who knows who.

On the other, there's favoritism.

Looks like one of the perps was seen by a passerby
