I think you see about 1 every month or two in the pro leagues if you watch enough games. I saw a game with two (same player) a few years back.

I too watch Ligue 2 games on Fridays like a fucking weirdo.

Modric is one of my all time favorite players. I’m rocking my Real Madrid Modric jersey right now

Canada flew too close to the sun.  Should have been clearing and playing more compact.  Shame because they are a fun looking team.

Good from the Canuck keeper there, but that should be 3.

And there goes Lovren wondering what the hell just happened.

Guess I shouldn’t be praising the Canadian keep too soon.  He should have been punished for that pass.

Yup. Be prepared for MLS to charge something ridiculous.

Try to see him when they play in Houston. Would be nice if the Dynamo decided to spend some money on players because they have sucked as bad as the Texans.

Followed by VERY BAD from their keeper.

Yeah

I hate when announcers use the word naive when talking about sports, but it seems fitting for Canada so far.

Also not sure that those Canadian fans were your typical Molson drinkers.

This flawed Canadian defense is what pissed me off about Gregggg having zero offensive ideas. We should have beaten these guys at least once.

Maybe some Crown Prince will buy the Belgian players a Rolls Royce like for the Saudi team.

The HMFIC of Morocco will give each player a pack of Camels and a bag of dates.

Croatia is so damn calm. Experience matters I guess.

And Canada give up a bad one late due to nerves. That was an easy ball flubbed, but the pressure of the moment and he coughed it up.

Canada was the class of CONCACAF in qualifying, but this ends their World Cup. First one out.

Croats ruthlessly accurate today--13 total shots, 10 on target.

They FAFO with Belgium. Outplayed the Red Devils but wasted too many chances.

#1 out

#2 no longer in control of destiny

#3 & #4 in the mix to advance, control their destiny.

When was the last time Concacaf had 0 teams make the knockout?

My guess would be 1990, the year Mexico was DQ’d. Mexico has advanced every year since.

I was commenting during their first game about how shaky their backline is.

Came home to roost today.

Based on the first games, everything says Spain should win but I have a nagging feeling that Germany pulls it off and all 4 teams go into the last game with 3 points.

That would be a lot of fun. But I think Spain holds them at least to a draw.

Feel like this game is primed to have be sort of a high scoring game.
