the other conferences should wise up and play fewer conference games

But the conference championships don’t put the two top conference teams against each other. Purdue never played tOSU but lost to Syracuse, Wisconsin, Penn st and Iowa. That’s dogshit.  The top two teams in the big ten are tOSU and Michigan which already played. The big 12, big 10 and pac championship game doesn’t help the regular season conference winner.

Just saying that if you don't have to play an extra game, you shouldn't have a shot at playing for the national championship.

There is no regular season big ten winner.

I'm too lazy(drunk) to look

But didn't something like 3 of the first 4 Big 12 championship games result in upsets and taking the favorite out of the BCS discussion?

ugh I like Nick OK, but get this fucker and his 2 losses off my TV

Saban, you're not playing right now. That's how well you're doing.  You don't get to say how well teams are playing at the end of the season as to whether they get to play when you're not playing.  You actually didn't earn that right to play in your conference championship.

Damn, Saban working the old guy #5 hair dye. Looks real natural…

Someone needs to tell Saban that whiney begging is not a good look.

Mack would be proud

I would laugh my ass off if TCU gets booted for Bama

I love Saban's reasoning of Bama should be in because they would be favored over the other teams. Yeah, you were a heavy favorite against both Tennessee and LSU. You lost to both.

Fox is so stupid giving the leader of an all ESPN property time to whine during the halftime CCG of a property they own most of

What a pathetic loser. You played Austin-Peay two weeks ago. Get off my screen.

If there's a clear conference winner, they should advance and be declared conference champs.  Why risk it all against a 3 or 4 loss team?  It proves nothing.

Nick Saban is on the FOX halftime show campaigning for a 2-loss Bama team to get into the playoff. The guys on the ABC halftime show were saying TCU should remain at #3 or even be moved up to #2 if Michigan loses.

Everyone I’ve seen on the panels has said that a 1-loss team should get in over a 2-loss team. The best l’ve seen anyone say when it comes to Alabama is “You never know”what the committee will do. Nobody has bothered to point out that they’ve never put a 2-loss team in over a 1-loss team before.

It would almost be worth it for them to get in as the 4 seed and see Georgia beat them by 6 touchdowns

I’m glad that community college student won $100k in tuition to put towards her dream of going to super expensive Oklahoma State university.

Saban doing the "all these teams ahead of us lost this week, we should be moved up because of that"

funny.... its conf championship week, they lost because they were presumably playing against better competition than Austin Fucking Peay.

but hey, lets not get the facts correct in favor of creating a good story.

Easy way to settle this playoff mess.  Have Saban and the other borderline team coaches compete in the Dr Pepper football toss competition.  Winning coach gets his team in the 4th slot.  I bet Saban is a chest passer into the can

Same could be said about TCU v K-State.

It proves that college football is all about making money.

No f'ing chest passes. I'm banning that in my free tuition giveaway league.

why the fuck did he run OOB with another 3-5 yards still available without being hit?

Totally.  There is absolutely nothing in it for TCU to even play the game.  They already won the matchup.  They risk playing in the NC by playing a team they already beat.

he is the 2nd string back they probably don’t want him to take unnecessary shots.

It can only be said about TCU vs. K-State. Michigan hasn't played half of the Big 10 West, and we shouldn't assume they would have run the table against that shit show.

gassed and knew he couldn't outrun the defenders.

And they didn't all get to play tOSU too.  What would their records look like?  We'll never know but tOSU benefits by not playing and potentially jumping Michigan if Michigan loses to a lower ranked team.  That makes no damn sense.

They are a second half team. They have a whole season of very unimpressive first halves.

Thankfully Michigan is making the championship question irrelevant for this year for the top two teams.

Yeah this is what Michigan does. Turn it on in the second half.

And I don't even care their running back looks so good now that I know Edwards is the backup.

They are looking better, but it would feel nice if they would put their foot on the gas. There isn't a single Big 12 team that is definitely worse than Purdue.

That’s not their game. They pound and pound and just break their opponents resolve in the 2nd half. Seems to work well for them.

In 2014, Big 12 conference co-champs Baylor and TCU sat idle while tOSU laid a 59-0 drubbing on Wisconsin in the B1G CCG. That decisive victory and the 13th data point gave them the edge over Baylor and TCU (in that order) and slotted them in the playoff. The Big 12 felt that not having a CCG hurt them so they added one a few years later.

It's true. Iowa State would be a pick 'em if they had Michigan's spot in this game. If Michigan wins, all is good. But if they somehow lose...
