You can't have a legitimate playoff with 3/4 teams that didn't win their conference. You would have to start looking at Utah and Kansas State. Current system is best record, you know this.

December 4, 20223 yr Down 17, they'd need a FG at some point. Plus, perhaps some big donor has Purdue +16.5... And Brohm knows.
December 4, 20223 yr You’re down 3 scores in the 4th in the conference title game. Stop settling for field goals like a bitch.

December 4, 20223 yr Purdue must not teach mathAm I the only one who’s not retarded here and understands the FG was the right call? I mean it’s desperate and won’t matter…but still right

Maybe Tennessee or bama should be in before them for you? I don't know how anyone could be certain the committee would pick X Y and Z teams regardless of what happens. Their decisions are not an exact science, a few losses to perceived top 5 teams can allow them to decide to jumble things as they please. I have a hard time seeing them pass up an opportunity to get Michigan/Ohio State 2.0 this season in the Playoffs, that would be an epic game.

It's an invitational. A group of people invite teams to play in games not sanctioned by the NCAA. Edited December 4, 20223 yr by redswingline
December 4, 20223 yr Not with 5 minutes left on the clock down by 17.Any conceivable path to a win includes a field goal. Doesn’t matter when it happens
