Hahaha, what game did you watch? TSJ's and-one to put Illinois up 7 in OT was literally the only 50/50 call Illinois got all night. If they didn't get skullfucked on four block/charge calls, this game

Illinois playing good defense... Horns need this kind of tough game.

Gotta execute better on offense.

LET'S GO !!!

I’m supposed to be at this game - but missed my train due to meeting and am pissed.

Illinois I thought would be the toughest team we will play so far, they’re far better than the ranking I believe. I’m an Underwood stan, though.

And they have us outsized at almost every position

Those two 2-man buckets were sexy.

It's nice having a coach who's seen basketball played before and like, taken notes, and reread them, and told the team about them.

I’m perfectly fine if they give it to Dainja every possession. He is a turnover machine down there

Yeah he has to catch a high pass down low in the spot he has to shoot from in order to score.

Yup. No ability to move with the ball

Shannon didn't get off the bus. At least for now.

He's trying to play his special brand of hero ball which is the reason some Tech fans weren't all that sad to see him go

Neither team playing very well. Half empty MSG is kind of a weird environment.
Less airballed 3s would be nice.

Duke and Iowa fans have the other half and they don’t play til 10:30 CT

But they turn it over and foul way more as well.

If Mayer hadn't gotten unbelievably hot for the first time this season I don't think you'd be able to say that. They're not really running an offense. They're simply making shots. Which still counts, but it's not exactly sustainable from game to game.

We're not getting as much going in transition off turnovers as I thought we would. Definitely credit goes to Illinois.

100%. 6-6 Mayer is what’s keeping them in this game and we are playing bad

Worst 1st half of offense we've played this year.

Let's not repeat it.

Tyrese Hunter is driving me a little crazy with some of these turnovers.

Also, every time Disu puts it on the floor for an extended amount of time while running a half court offense I find myself clinching my sphincter.

I wish we had a couple of bigs.

Might need to keep wishing. Beard likes his switching defense. Maybe he shocks me one day.

Really doubt we play much worse and only down 3

#145

Ugly performance in the 1st.

Down 3 but should be up after forcing 11 turnovers and shutting out their top guy.

That’s the Hunter we need the rest of the night. And we have to get Carr some space to score.

Plus he was playing with 2 fouls. Should be different next half.

This club has multiple people who can drive and shoot and big guys we cannot match up with.  When we don’t get a free guy rolling to the basket or fast break spot up our shots are contested with length.  It’s as much to do with them as us.

Everytime Disu gets the ball I panic he’s going to shoot

I’m usually saying out loud “don’t shoot, DON’T SHOOT!!”

Texas lacking a big man is concerning.

Not really. Dainja has 8 points and 3 TOs. He should probably have 5 TOs. The best big man in college basketball played ok against us but below his best. Our switching, crashing, and closing of passing lanes makes it really hard on bigs.

If a big man gets position it doesn’t matter what size his defender is. And with the way the game is called even having a big defender isn’t going to stop a big from getting position.

Force TOs and force kick outs.
