  • Gotta love Surly turning an Eagles/Cowboys thread into a discussion about the Texas defense and the B12's decision to create a conference championship game. It's honestly incredible.

  • That was as ugly as Chris Beard's fiancee.

Micah begging for a TO and the Fat Fuck almost didn’t call it.

If they blow this game on top of last week, I don’t know what to say.

Spiking the ball with30 seconds at the 20 on first down was stupid

Really dumb. They’d rather have that down back then the TO still on the board.

See above. They actually played that well.

Dak stayed in bounds, game over.  Just dumb.

Yep. But next play he gave himself up when the play was to throw it away.

had he slid in bounds the play before, (or kept the play alive another second and stepped out at 2 minutes even)either play would have been good. Either save the yards but stop the clock, or give up the yards and keep the clock going or force a to from Philly.

but I don’t think players look at the game clock very often.

So fitting that eagles have a reasonable chance to win in the final minute...   🙄

Spiking is hardly ever a good play.   Lining up for a field goal or last shot to end zone is about the only time.

I remember in the olden days of Roger and Drew, they didn't even have the spike rule. They could line up fast and complete a 7 yard out in 5 seconds, damn near automatic. Today's football ain't shit.

Good win but this Dallas D is a one and done.

The D made some great plays tonight. They kept good pressure on the QB last couple of drives. If the Cowboys make an early exit, it will be offensive mistakes. btw What the fuck was Dak doing taking the sack on second down on that last drive? But for the lost yards, we would have scored on the next play.

NFL needs to do away with the division winner plays at home shit. It's absolutely fucking ridiculous that 6-8 Tampa would get to host 11-4 Dallas if the season ended today.

I can't totally agree, regarding offensive mistakes being the blame.

This offense lights up the scoreboard, even with the mistakes they make.  The inability to hold leads or keep opposing offenses out of the endzone is the problem.

Bleh.  Saints and Giants aren’t scaring anyone.   It sucks to play like shit vs inferior opponents but I think it shows the ceiling of this team.  They have to be perfectly healthy and need to play real well to beat good teams.

All of the seasonal issues continued to kill this team today.  Shitty D which doesn’t control the trenches and can’t cover.  Offense which is still having a problem finding a consistent second outside weapon and one who makes 2-3 really boneheaded plays per game.  It’s a  fun team to root for but ultimately extremely flawed.

Uh. No.

it's also very stupid to have 7 playoff teams per conference with the #1 getting a bye.  Have 8 teams, do away with divisional preferences, just like the NBA.

Seriously, 14 of 32 make the playoffs, why not make it a smooth 16?

NFC 1-8 would look something like this:

Well, Dak only threw one pic today

The O is just as inconsistent as the D. They were great tonight. They were on fire, but without the three (or was it four) Defensive Turnovers, we'd have lost. This reminds me of that young opportunistic team that destroyed Buffalo in the SB circa 1990. SB XXVII. 52-17.

Schedules are uneven, so thats why divisional champs get a playoff spot no matter what. And that’s fine. But whether there’s 3 or 4 wild cards, the team with the better record should host. That doesn’t need to be part of the benefit of winning your division.

schedules are uneven in the NBA as well.

They are who they are at this point. You just cross your fingers and hope they can catch fire in the postseason. At the very least they are entertaining and ensure that the fans get dangerously high blood pressure during the course of watching the games.

Glad our boys pulled it off but dam, there are some glaring QB and coaching issues that you do not see from championship teams.

Seems likes lots of bitching about dak. Do you see scores from other games today? The team sucks because so many cb’s are hurt. D wasn’t greatest to start year but good enough. With D right now Dak has to be almost perfect. That’s extremely hard to do for even greatest qb’s.

WTF? Yes they got some turnovers. But what are you talking about?

That defense was trash till the end. The turnovers don’t disguise that.

This defense has cost them 2 games. It WILL cost them in the playoffs. Not the offense.

But j guess if it’s your agenda to say the offense will fuck us, then go off I guess.

Yeah Dak was so terrible today. Fucking bum he was. Defense came very close to letting a bum backup drive down the field to win this game. But they constantly get a pass year after year

He may or may not be the problem with this team, but he is always good for a few bone headed decisions.

No they literally aren’t. If an “inconsistent offense” can get your 34-40 points every game then tuck man, you have an obscene standard.

For the record the great eagles offense has only scored more than 34 once. Dallas does it Almost every week.
