January 1, 20232 yr Wow. No call for targeting is just as nuts as calling it IMHO. Couldn't win either way.

January 1, 20232 yr I mean, this is definitely more of a targeting penalty than Overshown’s against Frank Harris. They probably realized that Texas Christian was not Texas so no targeting.

January 1, 20232 yr Fucking frogs. Bleh. But I sure am glad I get to see those TCU cheerleaders again Edited January 1, 20232 yr by Spider2YBanana

January 1, 20232 yr Just now, tbone_ said: Wow. Missed that and the forward pitch. Forward pitch was fine, it was the first forward pass of the down. As for the targeting, he hit him in the upper back.

January 1, 20232 yr Just now, JesusSweatDuck said: Should have been targeting Yup, we've been called for targeting for much less than that. They were too scared to possibly alter the game. If it happened in the first half, it would've been called.
January 1, 20232 yr Well good for the roaches, we been there so they can talk but it don't bother us much. On the other hand the misery aggy would feel would be well worth it
January 1, 20232 yr Ironic the frogs get through the regular season by the skin of their teeth but really dominated Michigan for a lot of the game. They earned the championship with this game.

January 1, 20232 yr Damn guess Sonny dykes proves you don’t need a roster full of 5 stars to make it. Great coaching with a mixed bag can work too.
January 1, 20232 yr Author Two replays that they got flat out wrong. Michigan played like shit and didn’t deserve to win. But they got 7 points taken off the board by a review that both announcers and the rules guy said it was a TDs. And I have seen way less get called for targeting. Still a lot to do if they call it. But that is tough. What a Jekyll and Hyde game for Michigan. Looked great at times and looked like absolute shit at others
January 1, 20232 yr Color me shocked that didn't get called targeting and UM scored on the next play.
January 1, 20232 yr Looked like he lowered his head but side of his helmet made contact w ball carrier not crown. I don’t think it was conclusive. If targeting called on field it would have stood
January 1, 20232 yr Just now, slorch said: The football gods nodded towards sensibility. I didn’t like stopping it there, but if you stop it and review it, you have to call it

January 1, 20232 yr How do they let SEC refs ref this game with Georgia on the other side of the bracket?
January 1, 20232 yr Damn TCU made it to the college football national championship before Texas and OU in the playoff era

That doesn't fucking matter when you lead with the crown of the helmet. There are two types of targeting. Only one requires contact to the head of neck area.
January 1, 20232 yr Fuck everything about this. I can't think of a single good reason that shouldn't be the longhorns beating Meatchicken rn ffs
