Different 10 day forecasts are all over the place. None of those fuckers have a clue what's going to happen.

Current forecast has a Saturday high of 71 and mostly cloudy.  Might get a tad chilly at ACL Fest.

I believe the term is nipply. Don't tell the Coeds about the cold front and will be a great time for all.

Glad I spread grass seed all over my backyard that I now have to hand water for two extra days instead of the rain that was supposed to happen.

I collected a bucket of run off water during heavy rain times and during light rain times and they both weighed the same. So I don't know how these idiot forecasters think they know the difference?

Did the same. All these little birds are eating it and going to reseed my neighbors lawn.

I need a cat.

Most areas should see at least some measurable rain this week, though widespread heavy rains are not expected. There's about a 15-30% chance for rain amounts of 2" or greater, with the best chances Thursday. Those locations that do see 3-4+" rains could experience minor flooding.

Translation: we may or may not get measurable rainfall on Thursday with a frontal passage.

Houston area getting a steady soaking this morning. Nothing heavy yet, but a consistent light rain since before sunup.  Looks like some stronger stuff down in Brazoria/Fort Bend that may or may not make it to the city center later.

Unrelated to the front making its way down south. Little disturbance that originated out in the Gulf. If you're anywhere inside a triangle drawn from Matagorda to Hunstville to Beaumont, you're likely to get at least some rain today.

Everything I've been watching has had it pretty consistent with about 1.5-3 inches over the past several days.

The forcefield has become so powerful, it now preemptively eliminates rain.

Looks like a giant line of storms that misses us completely. I'd say that's pretty fucking accurate.

It’s gonna be 100 fucking degrees tomorrow with the heat index.  I know cooler temps and rain are on the way but I just wanted to tell summer 23 to get fucked one last time.  This was fucking ridiculous.  I was hand watering my front yard for an hour tonight.  I don’t fucking get this shit anymore.

Austin and Hill Country will get nothing and like it

Why is it when they predict big rains, we get nothing and when they give a %30 chance, we get torrential floods?

Because you touch yourself at night.

And most days.

From July 8th through October 2nd, the gauge at Buffalo Bayou & Shepherd recorded 3.4" of rain. It got 2.92" today.

Just wait until we're back in the 90s by mid-next week.

Lol @TWC app showing a 21% chance of rain today and the Wunderground app show a 95% chance of rain today.  Wtf?

So, no chance of rain today?

Seriously, why do they even bother talking about this stuff a week out? Just saw a KXAN update with lower totals... again... with talk of it trending drier. They've gone from talking about multiple days of rain and several inches to maybe an inch if you're lucky.

Then they said the dreaded "broken line of showers" moving through tomorrow morning. All that means is there will be a fat gap in Austin.

How it started...

This is a framer. May put a copy on the mantel, or the fridge. Haven't decided yet #atxwx #txwx

How it's going...

Two main issues...1. Storms will move through around sunrise, give or take a few hours. That's the most stable time of day, in contrast to, say, an afternoon or evening storm chance. 2. The large-scale storm system sending this front our way is shifting farther north

The models have been trending the wrong direction though. Looks like one real day of rain on Thursday- at least it’ll be a little cooler.

Ive seen this play out too many times…QPF models get excited in this range and then step down as we get closer.

Every damn time.

Wunderground says shits gonna get started in austin around 2am. I’m staying up to make sure and if not I’m gonna blast the clouds with my shotgun.

#2198

It's trying to build. Maybe if it hits at 2 instead of sunrise well get more rain? Whatever, this is going to be a rain letdown. At least it'll be cooler.
