Brilliance !!

first fall rain, cool weather behind it, nice celebratory Bordeaux to sip on and the melancholic sounds of SRV Tin Pan Alley among other songs mixing with the sound of the rain splashing on the pool. Letting that summer go…

hell yeah.

Holy shit, I walked outside and my sidewalk was wet.  My "lawn" was still 100% fried (need recs for drought-resistant grass and when to plant), but I swear I felt a raindrop.

My zoysia has held up exceptionally well. I have a mix of bermuda and augustine in some places. SA is a cancer on society and needs to be smote. The bermuda is in struggle mode. So at least based on my experience ZP is the way to go and pretty resilient. I will resod the whole place with Z after the pool install ruins my whole shit.

I think I have zoysia, but it's essentially straw at this point.  If it comes back it needs to be tested for performance enhancing drugs.

Drought resistant still won’t stay green it’ll just look like a plate shoe string fries in these summers.

God fucking dammit now I want a plate of fries

Don't plow it up just yet.

My sprinkler system is completely fucked, if all I need to do is fix that then I'd be golden.  Vegas, baby!

80 percent chance for Hardin Co.  I'm thinking the star I drew, and chicken sacrifice may have worked.

Legit storms in 78665 overnight. Everything else seemed to wake the baby up, but crashing thunder apparently soothed him to sleep.

Rained at the house last night (houston heights) for the first time in almost 3 months. Cant remember a time when we went that long without rain. Even in 2011 we had sprinkles here and there

Woke up to lightning & thunder at 2:45 in 78717 by Round Rock, light to medium rain starting at 3, continuing until 4:30 when it drummed me back to sleep.

So more today?  Wunderground claiming almost 50% the next three days. I don’t believe it.

Been raining almost all morning here in Waco, and it's rained a ton last night and this morning in the Bosque Rivershed as well.  Finally...

Although my soon to be 2 year old wasn't pleased while I was trying to put her in the car to take her to 'school' this morning in a full on thunderstorm.  I bet we've had at least an inch of rain so far.

Zoysia is drought resistant … gray is dead, tasty looking crispy fries is dormant. Nothing you can do except cheat the earth and your fellow man if you want to keep the grass green. Learn to appreciate the gold color. I’m actually not kidding.

You closer to Mopac or 360?

360.  We don't back right up to it, but I can see it at the end of the greenbelt.

My assistant lives in Pflugerville -- they got 3.25 overnight.  Jealous.

3.6" in the gauge since 5:30pm last night.  78728.

Out in West Texas, again, in 79720. I didn't want to mention it when it happened because karma, whatnot, and it hadn't cooled down in Austin yet. But the high on Tuesday was 69, which is nice. Then, that night, we got a couple of inches. Wednesday and this morning have been off and on again showers. Currently, it's 72.

I don't care if it's 30 minutes later. A missing 'S' is not acceptable.

Note to all those Blastfurnace and Rain thread posters who like to talk about "Oh, it's a high of 78 here!"   This is how you do it.

Don't bring that shit when we are in the middle of 108 degrees.

0.8" at my house in NW Travis.  I was delighted, while my wife was underwhelmed but accustomed to it.

How long until the inevitable “when will we see the sun again” bitching?

Pouring in 77521

Same in 77586. Sitting at 1.5” over the past 24 hours, and half of that in the last 45 minutes.

Looking out the window at the gym and it is pouring in SW Austin.  Apparently pouring and strong winds at the house and power got knocked out.

For me? Probably November if it keeps up. But that would be 6 weeks of rain.

Heavy rain and pea sized hail here just south of Slaughter and Westgate.  Been raining hard for 30 minutes.

haven't got shit yet in 78751. I can hear a lot of farting however.

So, it's a regular Thursday at your house.

Made it to the bar with the pup right before the glorious pouring rain kicked in. Luna usually hates rain but she's all about it now. Guess she associates it with cooler not melt her paws weather.

3.25" here at the southernmost tip of Georgetown

My brother in Woodland Park off Williams west of Sun City only got a half inch of rain.

Just got another drenching, and looks like we might get another round later
