January 3, 20232 yr So, seriously, is the NFL waiting for ESPN to run the full quota of commercials for the game before they announce anything?
January 3, 20232 yr The "waiting for his mom" just seems so ominous. I just have this feeling if he was awake and alert we would have already heard something

January 3, 20232 yr 3 minutes ago, jimmyjazz said: This is feeling like one of Goodell's Top 10 fuckups. Why is it so hard to do the right thing? At the very least, it's a safety issue for the other players -- elite athletes playing a violent game with their minds elsewhere is a recipe for additional disaster. Beyond that, it's an insult to Hamlin and his family. Are there no adults in the NFL front office? Don't answer that. As much as I hate Goodell, I don't see any problem with giving it as much as an hour or so until more information is known, to be absolutely sure. Ain't nobody goin' nowhere anyway until they find out the status of Hamlin. Ultimately, it's probably up to the teams to decide if they wish to continue, which they probably don't unless they get some news that changes things.

January 3, 20232 yr The fact that the coaches have to be the adults in this situation is horseshit. Get fucked Roger
January 3, 20232 yr If they tell you what happened they will have to refund the ad slots. I think the NFL will be ok if they have to do that.

January 3, 20232 yr Skip should be fired for that post. Nfl should be dragged thru the coals for the 5 minute suck it up and get back on the field mindset. Prayers for Hamlin.
January 3, 20232 yr I agree the game should be called but it’s not like we haven’t seen grave, grave, life as you know it over (not dead) type catastrophic injuries and they just keep going. It’s a fucking brutal sport, one we love to watch but it’s a sport that makes about as much sense as boxing. Yes call the game, we all agree because we are decent people. Asking an organization that just keeps the clock rolling through catastrophic spinal injuries shouldn’t be expected to handle this all that well.

Reading between the lines, then taking the time to wait for his mother seems to indicated a worst case scenario. Also, the NFL would want to get ahead of this as quickly as possible if they could publicize that’s he’s not dead or is in stable condition.
January 3, 20232 yr Stefon Diggs came out of the locker room in a towel, he already undressed and showered. that sounds pretty official to me, at least form the players.
January 3, 20232 yr Yeah, game's over. Bills staff is loading up equipment, players coming out of the locker rooms without their gear on.
January 3, 20232 yr Don’t know how accurate If his pulse is back it’s great and indicates discontinuation of CPR, it’s how long it was stopped and his brain without 02 that comes into play now.

January 3, 20232 yr Players Union should be on the phone with Goodell explaining some pretty fucking massive consequences if they attempt another snap in this game.
January 3, 20232 yr Who gives a shit about the game? Of course they’re playing any more. The ambulance waiting on mom was not good at all. They’re probably making notifications to his family. It’s horrible.

January 3, 20232 yr Popular Post This reminds me of watching my 8th grade head football coach die on the field right in front of me. He had just been hired away by a smaller school district to be their varsity head coach, so instead of doing offseason practice, we had a pick-up game of touch football. The QB threw the ball to him and one of the other coaches flew over to try and breakup the pass. He hit him hard in the chest and coach dropped to the ground. The other coach laughed and asked him if he was okay, and he kinda chuckled, got up and started to say "Ya, I'm okay" but he didn't even finish the statement before he dropped back down and let out a brief groan. The whole thing played out no more than 3 or 4 feet in front of me. They immediately started CPR and called and ambulance and everything, but he never regained consciousness again. Apparently he had an underlying heart condition and the impact just stopped his heart. That happened in 1985 and I still remember it like it was yesterday.
January 3, 20232 yr They really need to cut away from all this. Continuing to talk and speculate is not fair to the players or anyone else involved
January 3, 20232 yr The "waiting for his mom" just seems so ominous. I just have this feeling if he was awake and alert we would have already heard something But if he was unresponsive I would think you would be racing for the hospital and not waiting for anyone.
January 3, 20232 yr Dang. Just re watched in real time.. the hit was pretty loud. sounded a lot worse than it looked. prayers Yeah, it was a high impact collision.

January 3, 20232 yr Is this it? Can he finally get fired/cancelled? Seriously Skip. Shut. The Fuck. Up.He gets paid to do this, though. Look how many people are sharing what he says. His bosses love it.
