Hopkins situation feels like a “Texans are in the picture because DHop’s agent needs to build negotiation leverage, and if all else fails the Texans could always be asked to pony up more than the agent asked of any other team”.

A a life long Houston sports fan that has generally despised the Texans, I thought they did very well last night.  - Brand new coaching staff gets their no doubt starting QB for the next 4+ years

I know that the spin machine for draft picks are always to be taken with a grain of salt but the early returns on Stroud seem really good. I’m a little bit excited.

Stroud doesn’t have a chance with aggy for a qb coach.

Kid was born to throw a football. Smooth release, makes throwing with zip look very casual, and accurate. Hope he can work all the other pieces out. Seems like a good dude.

The only knocks on him coming out of college stemmed from him playing with a bunch of badasses so he was never running for his life and his WRs could get themselves open. No negatives on arm strength, football IQ, accuracy, leadership, character, athletic ability, etc, just “well we haven’t seen him do XYZ yet, though there’s no evidence that he can’t do them either”. Time will tell, and I really like Bryce Young too, but I think CJs a gamer….

Colin Cowherd said Texans gonna double their win total and Case Keenum praise of Stroud is a very good sign

#1108

The offense and defense were both dog shit last year when they won 3. Now they have better coaches, new QB and DE, a couple free agents on defense, and a weak schedule. They should double their win total.

Some good BTS

This is awesome: Here's the call #Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort had with the #Texans when he traded out of No. 3 on draft night.Access to the blockbuster trade while they were on the clock. This content is INCREDIBLE. (via Cardinals Flight Plan on YT)

Draft capital doesn't win games. I'm glad the front office decided to push in their chips and trust their scouting, which put a franchise grade on Stroud and a generational grade on Anderson Jr. If those grades end up accurate, I'm not gonna miss next year's first rounder when we still have Cleveland's.

That is a lot of trust given to an organization that is the worst run in the NFL.

Big splash on draft night. Induct JJ into ring of honor. Part 3 of their image rehab will be announcing their color scheme change to “H-town blue”, red, and white and unveiling their 2024 uniforms.

RIP to a Texan legend

Former Houston Texans quarterback Ryan Mallett drowned at a Florida beach Tuesday, according to several reports. He was 35. https://t.co/FZTYkJXen0 #texans #sports #kprc2 #click2hou #htx #ryanmallett

Tennessee is out of control with their trolling.

Back when I played Madden with the University of Texas in Tennessee, I always went with Oilers uniforms.
#1131

Gonna need to do some Buddhist monk shit to find my inner peace before they officially announce that the Titans are wearing their throwbacks against the Texans or else things are gonna happen...

#1132

I honestly never understood why they just didn't keep the name and be the Tennessee Oilers. It's a better name. Titans is cartoonish.

Just shitty. They changed the name to disassociate from being a bunch of shitty assholes that moved cities but now 20 years down the line they wanna make money off that name.

The "luv ya blue" stuff is abhorrent. That was a Houston-specific thing.

This. Pretty sure I would be over this bullshit already if they hadn't done that. That had to have been straight from Amy "cunt bag" Adams as a purposeful, vindictive, spite stick in the eye to everyone who was a Houston fan of the Oilers.

Pancakes seems to enjoy trolling Houston fans as much as Amy “cuntbag” Adams with his tweets today. Fuck him

The Tennessee Oilers wore Oilers uniforms in 97-98, their first 2 seasons in Nashville. Nobody in Houston gave a hoot. In 99 they were renamed Titans and got new stadium, practice facility and uniforms that included some Columnia Blue. Nobody in Houston have a hoot. They do now!

The OG set him straight in a reply.

... the notion nobody "gave a hoot" starkly contradicts the 1999 survey and accompanying Letters To The Editor. I have excerpts of many of the letters. I also have the suggested new nicknames Houston had for Bud Adams' team in Tennessee. We will share today, on @SportsRadio610

Pancakes McClain had Bud Adams cock in his mouth for a long time so this isn't super surprising...

I guess you’re not a Loophole like I am since that’s his nickname on the show. Best show in Htown. Other than Brad Kellner on the Wheelhouse, Landry Locker is the biggest UT supporter on Houston sports radio and keeps Lopez in line and is nowhere as bad as Lance and John with their slobbing of aggy’s knob with their weekly interviews of Jimbo and Lance adopting them as his team.

This will be Weeks’ 14th season and he’s made $12.5 M so far in his career. Pretty good gig if you can get it.

No doubt. He has been perfect at his job. He has never had a bad snap in his career. Texans special teams is top 5 in the league.

Question from a pretty inconsistent NFL fan - when is the H-Town Blue rolling out? Excited for the Texans to no longer be the most generic team in the NFL.

#1147

Interesting stat from PFF - the Texans were the only defense during the 2022 regular season to have more INTs than TDs allowed. Obviously influenced by the fact it was so fucking easy to run against us last year….

I totally forgot about Ridgeway coming to the Texans.  Good little interview with him on 610 am.
