January 21, 20205 yr This is the opener. I respect the work he's putting into his music and those instruments/controllers, but the music's not for me. I'll be fine if I miss most of his set.
January 21, 20205 yr Scored a ticket this weekend from a buddy who had someone bail on him last second. I've not kept up with their new stuff, but I'm sure it will be a good time.
January 21, 20205 yr Looking to get a last minute ticket. What’s a good place to park? Haven’t been to Erwin in fucking forever

January 22, 20205 yr I thought Author & Punisher was great for what it is. Much better sounding live than streaming. The percussion is ridiculous. Tool was better than at the San Antonio show.
January 22, 20205 yr No 7empest, but Descending was awesome. And yeah, I think they sounded better last night than the San Antonio show.

They never sound good in the ATT Center. Not sure if it's because of the size of the arena, or the possibility that the spurs bought their audio equipment on craigslist.

January 22, 20205 yr Opening for Tool would be a pretty tough gig. Certainly no one is buying their ticket because of you and I’d guess the vast majority wants you to hurry up and finish.

January 24, 20205 yr If he didn't like Maynard dancing like a monkey, he would have hated twenty years ago when he just stood there with the back to the crowd the whole time
January 24, 20205 yr Lulz Dallas Observer douchiness https://www.dallasobserver.com/music/tool-is-getting-stale-11853455Had a friend send me this. What a clown.
January 29, 20205 yr Author&Punisher warming up the Atlanta crowd. Loud. So loud. You sure could yell. You took a stand on every little thingAnd so loud
January 29, 20205 yr Pretty damn good so far. Maynard is the weakest link but that’s been the case for years. Such is the fate of the lead vocalist. Intermission time now.
January 29, 20205 yr Usernames ears check outI always taken them and can never decide if it sounds better with or without them
January 29, 20205 yr I’m happy to take a little less fidelity to save my ears. They ring enough as is.

March 12, 20205 yr Badass album, been jamming it since it came out in it's entirety. I agree with them that all their albums are best played start to finish.
March 28, 20205 yr Two random Tool / COVID-19 relevant thoughts. 1. Working from home, like we all are, and of course the advantage of this is using my studio audio setup to listen to music while I work. Everything sounds as good as it was recorded, but hearing "Invincible" off of Fear Inoculum in particular... how amazing the production on it is. 2. I'm making pancakes... like you do on Saturday. Having to do without eggs, because we're out, and the price of eggs has tripled, so we aren't buying any. (For those who are wondering: Yogurt. Vanilla yogurt.) As I flipped the last one, I of course had to growl out: UND KEINE EIERRRRRRRR!!!!
October 9, 20205 yr Maynard got Covid in Feb/March, still having issues. https://www.azcentral.com/story/entertainment/music/2020/10/09/maynard-james-keenan-covid-puscifer/5929660002/ Quote Q: Wow. I didn't realize you had COVID. A: Um... yeah. I kind of didn't want to run around screaming it. But it's real. And there's after-effects. I had to go through some major medications to undo the residual effects. Still coughing. There's still lung damage.
October 9, 20205 yr Wow, that could impact not only his singing, but his jiu jitsu and wine endeavors too
October 16, 20205 yr he already had to do things like not sing Sober on tour b/c of the impact on his voice. that is really going to suck!
October 16, 20205 yr Wow, that could impact not only his singing, but his jiu jitsu and wine endeavors tooI need Covid to slow him down because we are both purple belts but he started in the 90s and I started in 2006. We both should be black belts. I am less ashamed if he is still out there on the long path.

November 1, 20205 yr Oh shit! There are a few pretty good songs on the album. “Bullet Train to Iowa” is legit. I knew I liked the sound but took me a few times to realize it was clearly about tripping on Ayahuasca. Carina Round is my future ex-wife
