So around the Burnett/Anderson Lane/Lamar/Mopac area there is a fairly young, tall (6'2"), athletic (homeless) guy who breaks storefront windows and damages cars with hammers, rocks, sodas... He has been caught on tape multiple times. How do you get the police to do anything? If he is arrested, I assume he will be back on the streets the next day doing the same shit. A friend mentioned to me to have him evaluated for mental health issues which he clearly has. I'm not so sure that they will be able to keep him for very long either. So he would soon be back on the streets and maybe cause more damage. Any suggestions on how to get him to stop causing damage?

A few months ago there was a stabbing with a box-cutter of a guy who was trying to get back his bike after it was stolen (This was at the gas station near Enchiladas y Mas). I'm not sure if it was the same guy or a different guy, but if a guy is violent causing property damage, it wouldn't be a stretch to hear he was violent with people.

In all sincerity.   If local law enforcement won't enforce the laws there is pretty much nothing a law abiding citizen can do.

hang around a taco shop and wait for an elderly good samaritan to come in.

Depending on what time of day he is arrested...it could be the same day
