Looked for a podcast board, or topic and didn't find one

Looking for recommendations - my main driving time thing is audio books, but I've started to listen to a few podcast (listed below) and I'm hoping to get more that you like

- Vigilante - the first 5 episodes are about Tim Miller (founder of Equusearch) and him looking for his daughers killer
- Case 63 - Sci-Fi podcast with Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac, finished the first season yesterday (10 short episodes 10-15 minutes each) it is set in 2022 and I can best describe as a kind of meld of 12 Monkees, Total Recall and maybe a litte Terminator. Interesting cliff hanger....waiting for season 2
- Scotland Yard Confidential - detective/crime podcast - kind of a fall back when I can't find something I like

mods - feel free to move/merge this into a different thread/board if I missed it - okthksbai

Devil Town - about the disappearance of Kelly Wilson from Gilmer, Texas in 1992.  The twist and turns of the story will leave your head spinning.

Pretty good, but like every other podcast out there, it drags in the middle.

Going West is probably my favorite weekly podcast. Two episodes a week is also nice.

A stoner couple from LA talk through the same cases as Crime Junkie without being annoying as shit.

Chris Wimmer has a couple good ones. Legends of the Old West covers all the western classics of lawmen and outlaws. Some excellent Indian Wars seasons as well.

Infamous America is also good. Covers  the most infamous crimes committed on US soil. The Pierre Hotel and Lufthansa Heists seasons are great. I was shocked to learn how many high profile hotel robberies occurred in NYC during the 70’s.

The Set is pretty good. 4 episodes in. It's about a corrupt NYPD Precinct in Harlem in the 1990s.

Kind of scary. They interviewed a former drug dealer and he said he could have anybody killed for $200 and a round trip ticket from the Dominican Republic.

Conflicted is an excellent Hardcore History alternative if you’re not into Dan Carlin (I’m not).

I just listened to excellent 3 part series on the first 100 years of Islam. Pretty fascinating. Classic Succession story. Muhammed died without a male heir, and as you can imagine, chaos ensued.

FYI - season 2 of Case 63 dropped last week; still crazy time travel shit happening

Looking for recommendations in the Comedy, News, Politics(lighter hand), Business, Current Events type realm.  I have had varying success seeking out Pods through the Apple app.  There are seemingly unlimited options so I am a bit tired of shots in the dark.

Recently listened to and enjoyed to varying degrees

All-in

Prof G

Bill Maher

Carvey and Spade

Conan needs a Friend

3Qs Andy Richter

On the comedy front, I’m unabashedly obsessed with Paul F. Tompkins. Comedy Bang Bang is a long running podcast on which he’s a frequent and really fundamental guest over the years. Somewhat spun off from that are Threedom, The Neighborhood Listen, Spontaneanation, and a few others with people like Tim Baltz, Andy Daly, and other comedians.

It’s kinda a Comedy Bang Bang “podcast universe” with lots of rabbit holes.

Bret Easton Ellis' podcast is typically pretty good. Interviews people all throughout the entertainment/arts world, typically. Definitely not something to listen to if you want to feel warm and fuzzy about the current state of Hollywood/movies altogether though.

I listen to Startalk and Mindscape podcasts for science topics. Interesting folks discussing and explaining complex topics to the masses.

5 part series on the life of John Brown.

Quick bump… has anyone listened to any good podcasts or series about AI or Sustainability?

Going West if you’re sick of the Crime Junkie gals and a true crime fix. Pothead couple living large in LA on ad revenue.

Two episodes a week. Pretty good. Don’t cover the same tired cases that Crime Junkie sticks to.

Was hoping there was more action in this thread. I get caught up on the ones I like and try and find new ones but the suggested ones in my app of choice all such.

Infamous America and legends of the old west are both black barrel media and are both great. I've listened to every episode.

American history tellers is also good. It's a wondery and well done.

My favorite right now is small town murder. Two comedians I've never heard of talk about...murders in a small town. Some are recent, some are old,  but it's a good show. They have a spin off called your stupid opinions and it is legit laugh out loud at times. They just read Google reviews. They also do one called crime in sports but it's never hooked me.
