June 21, 20232 yr I'm really enjoying the new Bully album. If you like early 90s grunge and alternative, you'll probably dig it.

June 24, 20232 yr Hot town, summer in the city Back of my neck getting dirty and gritty Been down, isn't it a pity? Doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city All around, people looking half dead Walking on the sidewalk, hotter than a match head. Loving Spoonfuls
August 31, 20232 yr i'm not sure why they didn't include this on their newest album but this is one of the better national songs i've heard in a while:
August 31, 20232 yr They didn't because a new album should be coming out later this year. They've been playing a lot of new, non-album songs at their shows this year including that one. Supposedly the new album is called Laugh Track and should have about 11-12 songs.
September 17, 20232 yr The National's new album comes out at midnight tonight. They announced it at their big festival show "Homecoming" this weekend. 12 songs including Weird Goodbyes which was released last year. https://pitchfork.com/news/the-national-announce-new-album-laugh-track/
September 18, 20232 yr Finally getting to listen to the new album and holy shit it’s GASSSSSSS. Maybe the best since Trouble. Smoke Detector as the closer … damn they sound like Joy Division. Very very good.
September 18, 20232 yr haven't got to listen yet, but space invader is my favorite song they've put out in a long time and love that they put weird goodbyes on an official album. can't wait to dive in to it.

"turn off this house" is definitely a highlight from the album.

November 3, 20232 yr New Cold War Kids is out. Liking it a lot so far. They've never really pushed any boundaries but they're super talented and very tight. Here's a good track. Theres two or three misses on there for me but I like most of it. Edited November 4, 20232 yr by ztejas
November 4, 20232 yr The new season of Austin City Limits started about a month ago. Now that baseball season is over and work is starting to slow down, I'm finally getting around to watching/listening. Molly Tuttle was on the latest episode and played a few off her album that was releasing in July. Good shit!
November 7, 20232 yr little late these days as always, but new bombay bicycle club is way better than even this biased fanboy was expecting

November 15, 20232 yr So Andre 3000 has a new album coming out and . . . it's a flute instrumental? https://pitchfork.com/news/andre-3000-releasing-solo-album-new-blue-sun-this-week/
December 8, 20232 yr so much good, albeit random, stuff this year. the zeitgeist appears to be dead. is there still a best of list going around?
December 16, 20232 yr Holy fuck it’s finally out. Only took 10 years. a few songs in and I kinda love it. Midlake isn’t Midlake without Tim smith. Good for him. I hope this does well.
