That place has had some rough luck over the years.  but I still love it, and as Brisket mentioned...shitty timing given crawfish season ramping up soon.

I've seen that kitchen and the age of that wood.  Don't wanna jump to conclusions, very well was a kitchen or electrical fire.  Leave it to the experts to decide.  But if somebody lit that on purpose?  That's somebody we can really go to town on IRL.  That's a bitch to literally and metaphorically choke.

Nokonah, 7-11, Fresas, and those fancy shops across the street...all have decent surveillance cameras.  But Shoal Creek's luck, if somebody did it maliciously...they probably walked through Duncan Park and across the whopping 3" of water in the creek bed.

How would it be a kitchen fire if the kitchen wasn't damaged?

There's a significant bussing station on the NW corner of the patio with some exposed utility lines, electronically controlled refrigeration (or there was before the floods).  Anyway, that whole part of the back deck...ain't exactly a kitchen but there are utility/power feeds, lots of industrial grade appliances plugged in Clark Griswold holiday lights style, and rickety wood.  Just a thought, as I stated twice...let the experts investigate.  There's also grease disposal back there and enough chain smoking employees taking a break to take down a shopping mall.  And kitchen/electrical fires don't always burn where the problem is, kinda like wildfires...they can spread quickly and the original source can extinguish just as fast while it jumps to another source of fuel.  I dunno, I got my fire marshal investigation emergency badge at FitLump's 1/2-day conference at the airport Ramada.

Just thought I'd pontificate all the possibilities because "That's my advice anyway, counselor.  'Cause arson is a serious crime."  /bodyheat

So now we need a good flood to clean it up.

Wow. I thought most only got herpes from FitLump.

That's the optional "breakout" session.  Didn't have the extra $195 on me.

When did Shoal Creek Saloon sell out to the Oasis?

Do you think oasis was lightning? Or something else. Inquiring minds want to know

Yeah "lightning".

The newly built kitchen managed to survive (allowing him to stay open) and he was meeting with architects at noon (less than 8 hours after the fire started) to discuss the rebuild.
