I’m still annoyed at the Nats for not sending Scherzer to the bump yesterday.  It’s just another data point revealing a non-competitive organizational culture.  Losing the NLCS is the ceiling for this organization and they are cool with it.

Top hitters in the 2nd half:

1) Christian Yelich (.361/.445/.770)

2) Justin Turner (.359/.451/.626)

3) Ronald Acuna (.322/.403/.625)

4) Tommy Pham (.331/.433/.580)

5) Mookie Betts (.329/.425/.571)

Worst hitters in the 2nd half:

1) Brandon Crawford (.193/.261/.282)

2) Kyle Seager (.200/.258/.357)

3) Jake Bauers (.167/.281/.307)

4) Dee Gordon (.241/.265/.354)

5) Rosell Herrera (.226/.292/.305)

brewers and rockies are both underdogs today. i think i'll do a two team parlay with those two.

I do wish that MLB would start doing reseeding after the WC game.

Carlos Correa must not have qualified for the worst list

that rockies ML with marquez on the hill looks really nice.

crazy to me how different the paths are for the two teams in this nl central tie breaker.  win, and you've got homefield advantage through the NL playoffs.  lose and you've burned through 2 starting pitchers if you even make it to game 1 of the NLDS.

Does anyone have a streaming link for the game? I'm trying MLBtv, but it's telling me that it's blacked out in Austin...

have the nats ever gotten to the nlcs?  i'm not sure that franchise has ever won a playoff series (which they would have to do these days to advance that far).

No they haven’t.  I mis-remembered and gave them more credit than they are due.  Making the playoffs is their ceiling.

How did Chris Davis finish .168 for the year and not end up on the worst list for the 2nd half?
Must have really stepped up his game to Mendoza-line levels that 2nd half.

[‘93 Giants]At least they have that chance! [/‘93 Giants]

Yelich puts the Brew-crew up 1-0.

Goddamn, poor EJ can’t catch a break.

And Rizzo just murdered one to tie it up.

Rizzo ties it up with a bomb to RF.  1-1

The O’s came to their senses and benched him a lot in the 2nd half so he didn’t qualify.

Now that's good bait.

Yelich cannot be stopped right now

Edited by TheFlagship

We need to get Shaw some ABs today. Nobody except Yelich is looking to do a damn thing.

i thought they had an amazing bullpen

Knebel on, retires Rizzo

Brewers up 2-1, no out, runners on corners

Yelich due up

Cubs changing pitchers

Yelich struck out

Cubs going back to bullpen
