I’m still annoyed at the Nats for not sending Scherzer to the bump yesterday.  It’s just another data point revealing a non-competitive organizational culture.  Losing the NLCS is the ceiling for this organization and they are cool with it.

brewers and rockies are both underdogs today. i think i'll do a two team parlay with those two.

that rockies ML with marquez on the hill looks really nice.

crazy to me how different the paths are for the two teams in this nl central tie breaker.  win, and you've got homefield advantage through the NL playoffs.  lose and you've burned through 2 starting pitchers if you even make it to game 1 of the NLDS.

I get by mlb.tv blackouts with a dns service.

That said, usually one of these streams will work:

have the nats ever gotten to the nlcs?  i'm not sure that franchise has ever won a playoff series (which they would have to do these days to advance that far).

No they haven’t.  I mis-remembered and gave them more credit than they are due.  Making the playoffs is their ceiling.

How did Chris Davis finish .168 for the year and not end up on the worst list for the 2nd half?
Must have really stepped up his game to Mendoza-line levels that 2nd half.

The O’s came to their senses and benched him a lot in the 2nd half so he didn’t qualify.
