October 1, 20187 yr crazy to me how different the paths are for the two teams in this nl central tie breaker. win, and you've got homefield advantage through the NL playoffs. lose and you've burned through 2 starting pitchers if you even make it to game 1 of the NLDS.

No they haven’t. I mis-remembered and gave them more credit than they are due. Making the playoffs is their ceiling.
