April 11, 20187 yr Yeah, surprised Perdomo was able to duck that. Thought it was easier to get a hit in Coors Field.
April 11, 20187 yr 3 minutes ago, ERhine said: What led up to that? Stealing this from a reddit comment thread...was written by an SD fan: Quote BACKSTORY FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO WASNT WATCHING: Last night, Padres CF was hit chest high in the ribs, leading to a 10 day DL stint announced today. Appeared unintentional. This afternoon, Perdomo plunked Trevor story. Looked unintentional but may not have been. Shortly thereafter, Rockies pitcher hit Hunter Renfroe high and on the wrist. Looked unintentional, but was a dangerous location nonetheless. Perdomo then threw belt high and behind Arenado, leading to this. EDIT: Digging even deeper, Padres 3B Villanueva hit 3HRs in one game during the earlier series and was plunked afterwards. So this might have been brewing in some degree for over a week. EDIT 2: For further context, since the season began, 5 Padre hitters have been hit by Rockies pitchers, including one that sent starting CF Margot to the hospital with a rib injury. 1 COL hitter was hit (Trevor Story today) and then Perdomo threw behind Arenado
April 11, 20187 yr Thanks MC. Figured based on location and reaction from Arenado there was something behind it.
April 11, 20187 yr Perdomo-Arenado, Mr. Roboto. I also like Gerardo Parra trying to block the field goal: His hair has turned from black into bright white He said that it was from when The car had smashed so hard Edited April 11, 20187 yr by clapclapclap
April 12, 20187 yr The Cubs bullpen dance to Javy’s blast was hilarious. http://www.mlb.com/video/baezs-mammoth-three-run-jack/c-1928969783?tid=6479266 Edited April 12, 20187 yr by Henry Hill
April 12, 20187 yr Brawl at Fenway. Some real punches were exchanged. Have to see the replay to see if Sanchez landed any sucker punches this time.
April 12, 20187 yr Brawl at Fenway. Some real punches were exchanged. Have to see the replay to see if Sanchez landed any sucker punches this time. Was hoping to see Stanton swing and miss a couple more times. Actually the players did a pretty good job in separating everything.
April 12, 20187 yr Austin deserved every bit of that pitch. His slide into 2nd earlier in the game was fucking dirty.
April 12, 20187 yr Austin deserved every bit of that pitch. His slide into 2nd earlier in the game was fucking dirty.Just saw that. Yeah Austin is getting a nice little vacation for being a little bitch.
April 12, 20187 yr Agreed straight gunning for the second baseman’s ankle. Sliding like that needs to be banned with harsher penalties. Give me an old school speil if you want, but honestly what good is that in the game. Best way to breakup a double play is to have a better at bat and not roll over.
April 12, 20187 yr Yankees win, haters gonna hate. Stanton & Sanchez’s bats seem to be awakening. And I’d like to see a basebrawl where the players actually look like they’ve been in a fight before. They’re so pathetic. Austin falling down today was embarrasing, as was the Padres pitcher who went into a full backpedal as Arenado charged. Haven’t seen a good baseball fight since Odor straight clocked Bautista.
April 12, 20187 yr Sanchez went 0-4 yesterday has 3 hits to boost his average to .122 and an ops of .533 and he’s heating up.

The commentators tried to cover for him saying he slid over the bag, but legal doesn't make it right. You go in spikes up like that and you're gonna eat a fastball. Been that way for 150 years.
April 12, 20187 yr 2 hours ago, Doug E. Fresh said: Austin deserved every bit of that pitch. His slide into 2nd earlier in the game was fucking dirty. That dude is a pussy. That's a blatantly illegal and dirty slide. Did they not call the guy out at first after that slide?
April 12, 20187 yr The announcer who seemed to genuinely and passionately believe that that was a legitimate slide probably posts here. Good lord. Spikes up into his plant leg. That’s as bad as it gets. Edited April 12, 20187 yr by Goo Punch
April 12, 20187 yr Tyler Austin's slide:http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=23124320I'm cool with a ball coming after you for that. He's a bitch for charging.
April 12, 20187 yr Fun fact: Tyler Austin’s actually a cancer survivor. They got rid of the cancer, but it’s hard to eradicate all of the douche out of some people. It was a dirty slide, but it could’ve been way worse. He could’ve done it to a non-Red Sox player.
April 12, 20187 yr Tyler Austin's slide was dirty as shit. We will hear all about how his foot just popped up and he couldn't help it from the Yankees side but that's complete bullshit. Your foot doesn't come up like that unless you are intentionally going after the opposing player.
April 12, 20187 yr OK, I didn't see the game, and I'm just now looking at the box score and the highlights... 1. Joe Kelly is a bigger pussy than Tyler Austin. If you're going to hit the guy, hit him. Kelly threw a first pitch slider to Austin for a strike, then threw a fastball waaaay inside that was probably supposed to hit Austin. Then he threw another slider (low), and then he hit him on the next pitch. That's fucking bullshit. If you're going to hit him on purpose, do it ASAP. Austin has a legit reason to be upset about that. 2. Really impressed by Aaron Judge. How the hell did he get out there so quickly? And I think you can credit him for it not getting more out of control than it did. He's pretty much the exact opposite of Gerardo Parra. Edited April 12, 20187 yr by Beau Vine
April 12, 20187 yr Austin has no legit reason to be upset. He made a bitch move intended to hurt the other player. Austin deserves everything he got and a lengthy suspension.
April 12, 20187 yr Yeah, that slide was absolutely terrible. Holt obviously measured the situation and decided against starting shit immediately. Must not have attended Odor's Offseason Pugilist Training Camp.
April 13, 20187 yr Lulz, Stanton may strike out 5 times a night but at least he's flashing some leather out there. Edited April 13, 20187 yr by WBT
