December 2, 20232 yr Watching the B-Vets - CC Miller game on YouTube, pac 12 title on tv. Vets is amazingly small and slow even by valley standards. Incredible to think they beat CC Vets & PSJAN to get here. They’ve turned it over twice already and Miller is moving it up and down the field at will. 7-0 Miller in the 2nd quarter.
December 2, 20232 yr Aledo has decided to step all over their dicks and it is now 28-14 with 5 mins and some change left in 2Q. Make no mistake I'm quite certain Abilene offense is still in the red yardage-wise.

December 2, 20232 yr If Davenport would hang onto the football this game would already be out of reach. They get a big play out of the passing game, have Calhoun’s defense on their heels and they run the ball the next play inside the 10 and fumble. Just throw the ball in that situation. Instead Calhoun gets that incredible touchdown run three plays later. Kinda thought Davenport would be susceptible to giving up big plays because of their lack of size on defense, but credit to a undermanned Calhoun team for hanging around so far.
December 2, 20232 yr Davenport with an easy score off of a muffed punt. Two weeks in a row that the opponent’s special teams are handing the Wolves free points.
December 2, 20232 yr Turnover Calhoun on the pitch. Another short field for Davenport for another TD. This could get out of hand pretty quickly if they don’t score on this drive. Edited December 2, 20232 yr by UpperWestside
December 2, 20232 yr That should be game right there. Complete meltdown by Calhoun with that fumble in the end zone.
December 2, 20232 yr Four consecutive turnovers for Calhoun. The last one on an interception. You can see why they don’t throw it much, but no choice there.
December 2, 20232 yr Brownsville Vets turned it over 4 times in the first half alone. Dead in the water, down 28-7 in the 3rd. Scored a TD, then during the ensuing Miller drive Eroz Pineda from Brownsville got an interception that sent the stadium into mayhem. 2 big plays later Vets punched it in again to make it 28-21. Whole crowd literally broke out into a “si se puede” chant. Miller driving now in the 4th. Edited December 2, 20232 yr by Helobious
December 2, 20232 yr 48-20 Davenport. This was 20-20 after Calhoun got a stop with 6 minutes left in the 3rd. 9 minutes of game time later they are down four touchdowns.
December 2, 20232 yr Brownsville vets gets a stop, drives down and scores on a Storm Montoya QB sneak. Tied up at 28-28. Explosive Miller offense has the ball now though with 2 minutes left in the 4th.
December 2, 20232 yr Davenport ends it with a turnover on downs and the back-up QB gets a TD to end it at 55-20. Now the fun begins next week when Davenport will face a team as athletic as them as none of the four teams they have played have been close to them in that aspect yet.

December 2, 20232 yr They did it. Brownsville Vets erases a 28-7 4th quarter deficit and beats CC Miller 35-28. First RGV team to reach the state semis in 20 years, first Brownsville school to ever go that far. I’m so fucking happy for those kids and valley football as a whole. Damn.
December 2, 20232 yr Davenport and Chapel Hill in the semi-finals as Chapel Hill survives 21-19 against Kilgore.
December 2, 20232 yr Too late to edit my post - Gilmer is up, not Cartage. My bad. Edit: Gilmer scores. Up 8. 1:30 left. Gilmer should have kneeled. Idiots. Edited December 2, 20232 yr by The Ace of Aces
December 2, 20232 yr Forney just beat Lancaster 43-41 in double overtime. Either @Mansfield or @Midlothian against Aledo next week.

December 2, 20232 yr Either @Mansfield or @Midlothian against Aledo next week. I'm sure Forney's run ends there. Aledo is a fucking machine to say the least.
December 2, 20232 yr lol Carthage scores and gets the 2 pt conversion. 44 all, 22 secs left. Gilmer could have clocked this game out.
December 2, 20232 yr Gilmer had a 1 point lead. Carthage no timeouts. Carthage lets them score. Gilmer just had to take a knee but ends up giving Carthage the ball back down 8 with 1 minute 30 left. Carthage drives down and hits the 2 point. Overtime

December 2, 20232 yr Just incredible that Gilmer did not kneel down. Then even more nutty was Gilmer taking a timeout when Carthage was going to get a delay of game on the conversion attempt.
December 2, 20232 yr That’s a final now at that score. Desoto turned in enrollment numbers that clearly places them in 5A next realignment cycle. If they don’t choose to opt up, that’s going to be ugly for everybody else. They have turned into a machine. I remember when they could never get past Allen. Was at both of those semifinals games against them
December 2, 20232 yr Tidehaven overcomes an early 21-7 deficit in the first quarter and a 28-14 deficit at half time to beat Poth 34-28 in double OT.
December 2, 20232 yr That’s a final now at that score. Desoto turned in enrollment numbers that clearly places them in 5A next realignment cycle. If they don’t choose to opt up, that’s going to be ugly for everybody else.So we could see a Desoto vs Aledo matchup? That would be lovely
